Global Rev Count.

That sounds like a gentle warning.

Regarding the the 1.5JB series. My experience so far show me that the std 1.5 is more precise ( in my limited control at the moment) that the Rev 1.

So is the 1.5 JB series so, so, much better? Is it better to learn on the best rather than the standard? Most interested to have your opinion.

I would have to say that it is good to learn on the best. It took me a very short time to teach someone how to fly a rev on a b-series than a 1.5.

Saddly, I have no new kites to speak of :( .

im curious how someone has enough money to own over even 10 revs, john, you own 59! wtf?

Hi All.

Just a thought. Does anyone (at Revolution, or anyone else) have any idea just how many Revs are out there?

I'd never even SEEN one before I caught the kiting bug, but reading this forum regularly makes it obvious they're all over the planet and have been for, what, 20years?

Anyone even hazard a guess at the total?

Fraser

============================

Total count (updated 9/19/07):

719 Revs between 57 pilots, for an average of 12.61 Revs per person!

*list is updated on occasion, the last post included in totals is #203 in this thread, by kitedog.

This is the other John.

Over a period of 17 years I have collected my REVs.

I acquired mine in various ways:

- some are bought.

- some are sponsored.

- some are gifts.

- some I made.

I never had enough rods for all of my REVs to be assembled at one time.

There's something wrong with that list there. I have 3 revs. Do min revs count? If so then I have four!

You must remember Chris that John has had 20 + years to get all those.

Hmmm. Actual Revolution revs?

a 1989 Rev I ("patent pending") in pink and purple, signed by a couple of Hadzickis

a 1991 Rev II in cool rainbow

an SLE from the first year they were produced

a B-series (the vented is on order and I should have it next weekend...but it doesn't count yet!)

a one-off Bazzer 1.5 that was commissioned on my behalf by my best friend

Funny, given how many revs I have and how often I fly them, how few are "real" (I usually have an SUL and a vented II in the bag, as well as an icarex 1.5, and that doesn't count the bunch of rev II sails at home, or the 3 IIs I once lost in an airport!)

As for how it's possible for someone to own more than 10 revs, well, it really isn't that hard. For instance, even 10 b-series revs won't cost nearly as much as a full-size Peter Lynn show kite!

You can add one more Rev to my collection. Although it hasn't arrived here yet from the AKA Auction. :) :)

I can hardly wait.

You know I love ya Kent but I was in the bidding, but if an other person deserves this kite your the guy. What I can tell you is if you don't let me fly it I'll

make alll your orders late. :kid_smartass: But really I'm happy for you and want you to know from the bottom of my heart, wow, wow, wow, what a

kite................Ben :blue-cool:
