mrdenny
A nice package from Rev was on the porch tonight. Add one more for me. A 1.5 SUL mid-vent. I wish it wasn't midnight so I could go try it out. The package also had new race rods for my old Blast!! I guess the wind will decide which I will fly first. Yes, the Blast rods are Race rods. I was up and out early today to try out the new Rev. Rather than go to the beach w/steady and today heavy winds I picked a park that would be a bit less wind but bumpy to try out the Mid-vent. It was perfect! Jeepster
John, Please add one more Rev to the count ... makes seven. One of my IKE friends talked me into buying his almost new, three-piece leading edged REV II. Told me it had only been flown on Sunday, in light winds and he used a professional driver ... Papa Smurf ... for all flights. He didn't really like the kite ... and I did ... end of story! Thanks Paul. Oh, and I might have to take a break from buying kites. When I called home from the Decatur festival and mentioned to my wife that I'd bought a new kite, all she said was "Why" ... Cheers, Tom New: 1 REV II ... Red and Black SLE style layout Old: 1 SUL ... Gold and Raspberry with black center 1 SUL ... Gold and Raspberry with white center 1 SUL ... Lime and "Victoria Secret" white 1 B-series non-vented ... Purple 1 Pro mid-vent ... #4 Lime 1 B-series vented ... Gold
sailor99
Oh, and I might have to take a break from buying kites. When I called home from the Decatur festival and mentioned to my wife that I'd bought a new kite, all she said was "Why" ... Don't worry Tom, all our other halves say stuff like that. I came into the living room last night to find The Rear Admiral saying "Yeh! I don't know what he sees in it either. But it seems to keep him out of the house most of the weekend and he doesn't come back smelling of diesel and fish". I suggest that, rather than stopping, you keep on buying to your heart's content (or should that be your wallet's content) as you will be bound to be in trouble either way. Stone in Shoe Bob
And the point goes to Bob on this one ... even though I don't remember you listing "fool wife" as one of the positive attributes of purchasing matching kite patterns.Cheers, Tom ........Also with four, (to the untrained eye), identical kites the wife has no idea how much money I have spent..... Well you can only stretch this one so far, you can get away with telling her you only have two when the third arrives but passing a bag full of as two, is pushing your luck a bit. But then, being a postman they usually get to me before they get home and by the time you have a bag full the Mrs has given up anyway.
