Sky Festival Productions
Hi everyone! It's so great to see the enthusiasm from all of you - I too am very excited and can't wait to see everyone!!! For those of you who'd like to engage in Andy Warhol's 15 minutes of fame, ok, well may be 5 minutes of fame, I've got some open slots in the 11:30am - 1:00pm and 1:30pm - 2:30pm time frames for demo's on Field 1 (this is the field closest to the boardwalk, just in front of the kite sales tent). And as an fyi, MOST of the time Field 2 (Activities Field, directly next to and east of Field 1) is open and slotted for all of the Rev flyers!!!!! The demo times are open to ALL types of kiting. If you're interested, kindly send me an email under separate cover to [email protected] and I'll put you in the schedule providing you with a time slot to show off your talent! It would be great to see all different types of kites and kiting and this is a GREAT way to get folks who we haven't yet sucked up into our kiting family to get interested! Roger and Ron Gibian will be on the mike a great deal this year at the Festival Field tent getting spectators psyched and off of the boardwalk and invovled with our sport. It would be GREAT to see all of you be a part of that! So, shoot me an email and I'd be more than happy to pen you in! Come on everyone, let's see what you've got!!!! Warmly, Beatrix

WayneReed
Scott, I would love to try it but I am not sure my skills will be up to it. I have only taken my first baby steps in team flying. If I get enough experience prior to the mega-fly, I might be able to go for it.

REVflyer
G-R-I-D implies a structure, dare I say "a plan and execution"? Those are things I'm not that good at personally. I will commit to assisting with this mission. Here's the event I want to see, we need a good announcer and a time for it to take place. Let's make this happen! I'd like to see a mystery ballet, quad-pairs, hot-tricks showdown with audience voting (by applause) which team advances. you don't get to pick the kite used, your partner, the music or the order (everything is random). Everyone uses the same tools. We'd set-up a short set of lines and long set for teams to offer both styles. Remember the most important fact,.... The crowd votes ~ so be entertaining, the only rules are safety related. who's in??? Each team kicks in ten dollars cash and the winner team gets an envelope for a trophy
rcom714
Very cool parameters Paul, especially the part about not picking your partner. That really throws the dynamic into flux. (what a great word, FLUX!!!!) Anyway, yeah, bring it on!!!!!!!

Other than that everything random just like Paul said.

Scott Weider
I remembered, But I also knew It was before IQUAD went over to the 20th. I would like to use the Grid, ( Thanks, Felix and Stephen) just to exercise it as a steppingstone/ learning curve, Get more familiar with the concept, As I know some of the flyers are so much more experienced since last year, I can't wait for next year to see the growth. from the photos I can see we need to stagger some and place the newbies in front as to give them a way out when panic sets in. 12 to 16 pilots would be great just to set the tone. I've talked with Beatrix and we will have a set time on the Demo field, for a MEGA fly. I don't want to work out the kinks in the arena. John, you have set the tone, there is a lot of excitement with the REV's and I will humbly, do what I can in your absence. I'm excited for the challenge and a chance to share my experience. Although, I would prefer to just be on the line listening to the calls! Watching the videos from Berck, has got me Juiced. All the sharing, which from my experience, via technology, makes it so much easier. I remember spending countless hours practicing Dual Line team stuff. many times very frustrated, and with Quads the learning curve is so much shortened. I makes it really fun! I flew with a demo team ( Air Advantage) Dave Arnold, Captain) Billy Ing, Frank Morales, Bob and Deb Hurd, Robert MacBroom, and myself, (Thats 6 experienced REV pilots not flying anymore) awhile back and we just set up the same kites/lines and followed calls, doing demonstrations in between the comps, and The REV's in experienced hands we looked good just inpromtu. NO PRACTICE ! I've never gone to Wildwood with no work and all play on my agenda. Jeff, and the like, should be able to join in if we have a set time. RIGHT!!! Paul, just be patient go at half your speed and the structure will work, WE NEED YOU! Pull a couple of the serious competitors over, DOUG and KARL. Get ART St Pierre in there. I will recruit, whoever I can. TEAM, Air FX will be there, I'm sure they will join in, RIGHT?
