Regarding the move of IQuad and group to Sid Synider from Bolstad.

If I remember, cars cant park as close to the water at Sid, like they can at Bolstad. Can they?

Will there be a demo field for the rev's roped off, or just a rev mob holding the area? :boxing:

Ken

From what I remember, we were planning to take up a beach-wide section a bit south of the rest of the festival. It will be a bit more of a walk, but we will have WAY more room to play.

If you are not all able to join us in Berck 2010 I think that we may have to start planning to visit you in 2010 at WSIKF.

Be prepared... <grins>

Correct on this note.

Nope, so it'll be a little trip down the boardwalk... Not really so far.

A little of both, but boundary markers of some kind will be in place, established by the Rev group themselves.

I'll also be tasking a handful of tactful individuals as safety marshals for our area alone.

If you haven't already made reservations, I'd suggest getting one locked in sooner than later!

Here's a link:

Long Beach Peninsula hotel/motel link:

I'd suggest something between Bolstad and Sid Snyder, or at least within a mile or two.....

Last year Theresa gave me advice to camp out over at Wildwood campground.

I was happy there last year, and plan on staying there again this year.

For people who want to have an inexpensive place to camp, it is a good place.

It is not in normal walking distance of the beach, and no bike lane.

OK guys, forewarning The English are Coming! :kid_devlish:

Thanks to my good friend Mr Lummas we are now booked into a house near the beach and will be in and around the area for the full duration of the festival. Susan, the two boys and I are really excited about the trip and looking forward to putting faces to so many of you on the forum.

So as long as you don't mind the funny accents we would love to come and fly with you all.

Well, i couldn't let all you colonial types have all the fun could i?

YEAHHHH!!!!! Best news I've heard all day, it'll be great to have y'all joining us. :)

Besides, maybe I'll get a break from the line, good folks to share duties with. :D

That's very kind and we really are very happy to be able to come to this one. The last time i was at Long Beach for a kite festival we had a lot of wind but a lot of fun too. I can't wait to come back.

As for calling whilst i am there, I think i am losing my voice already :kid_content: Besides it might be fun to try the front of the grid for a change.

WELL! That's great news indeed!

We'll be able to get you up to speed on the whole team flying vibe pretty quickly. Should we send study materials in advance?

And some lessons in Colonial English? You should be fine understanding Canadians at least.

:D

Hey Hoath, you beat me too it!! Indeed the Hoaths and the Lummi are descending on WSIKF this year. If we are really lucky we will be dragging Ron along too, so that our whole team is there, but either way we should be in for a good time. The houses are on Ocean Beach Blvd, between Bolstad and Sid Snyder (closer to Bolstad), with a view of the beach from the upstairs, so should be great.

Can't wait now!!!

I bet you can't remember all of the old routines!

Mind you, I can't remember the current ones so..... I might have to teach you and the wife the new Flying Squad routine as a little side project.

So, all you locals if we stay on for a few days after the event, where should we go? Should we head north Seattle direction or further south?

I'm a little chocked that you never mentioned iWobble in there. The rest of you will need a few crazy drivers in the air to keep you on your toes.

I just booked a room at the Edgewater Inn for the 19th to the 22nd. My dad is coming from Germany in August and he has never seen a kite festival before. Should be quite exiting for the old man (and the young man too)

There are lots of kite festivals in Germany, in particular the fall, followed by the spring. There are some in summer and obviously, practically none in the winter. In what part of Germany does your father live? In case your father is interested, I should be able to lead you to the closest festivals.
