Ok, as promised, here's the info re the over flow / secondary hotel! Warmly, Beatrix NEW to the WIKF hotel block this year is our overflow / secondary hotel group, the Riviera Resort Motel and the Sea & Sun Resort Motel. The Riviera is located just 5 ½ blocks north of the host hotel at 325 E Spencer Ave at the corner of Ocean Ave and can be reached at 609 522 5353. That means new telescope (never actually had a decent one to start with) and equipment so I dunno if I'll have money to come down the whole weekend. Scottie Weider gets along with everybody, he'd get my vote if he shows up. Everybody can hear Dennis Smith, he's the voice of the Eastern League Jim Cosca or Steve Santos can handle commands, but neither of 'em wants to be responsible when things get tangled-up. At this point after just being layed off in Jan I'm going with tentative, The way things are going I might do like last year got 2 B's for the price of fuel alone this year I'm thinking Hotel Gas Food that's roughly 3 pro's You know somethings wrong with you when you value things by "how many kites would that be" But we'll see one never knows till the time comes. Jim- Gas is half the price of last year, so far. We would LOVE to see you there!!!!!!! Maybe you could come down with Scott. That would cut the cost for both of you.... Just a thought. I have to agree with the group, Scott gets my vote to call. He did a lot of calling last summer and it worked out really well and I know that quite a few learned a lot from him. I don't see why we should be worrying about the calling. My guess is it would be a great chance for people who have never called to watch, learn, discuss & give it a whirl. Scott can do it and I have flown with Scott a number of times. Jay has talked me through my earliest team fly attempts (Rockaway 3 years ago- thanks again). Smitty is a blast when he is calling. (from the left) -shakes things up a bunch but still a great time learning interpretational Smith. Hell- having Dennis call from the left should be part of Rev Games & Yes I know he will be busy at the fest. Watching Ant call would be like watching a little kid who finally got his balance right, ride a 2 wheeler for the first time. The smile would be bigger than the beach.....the horror...the horror I am sure things will fall in to place. Now let the very long countdown begin. I just called the Oceanic and left a message.
