Assuming we're not the only ones staying after the Kite Festival....

:gathering:Anyone up for a social / meal on the Sunday night before the clinic starts?

At this stage, I'm not sure what is available and affordable nearby but there's time to find out...

Andy,

my wife and me would love to meet up and go out for food and drinks.

Sounds as if you have local knowledge! Anything sounds good to us.

Be good to meet with you, outsync and others. etc. As Felix mentioned, I guess we can't choose any place that's too intimate (i.e. small!). Could I suggest we meet outside the display area / rev enclosure at the end of the festival - just in case some others wish to keep their attendance a well-guarded secret? [My wife and I will not be involved in any flying on Sunday so we can remain incognito until then :shifty: ]

Anyway, it was not my provision I was concerned about. In Uchinada there was one open wireless facility which was used extensively!!! I have one of those USB mobile things in case of need in the UK.

just checking in and WOW what a fabulous time the clinic was. Thanks to everyone who came out. I think this picture sums it up well eh?

The bit in the middle with the ground work is just as hilarious to rewatch.... as reality back then.

you probably don't know what we were all laughing about:

realised that Sailor had been scoffing cake and most of it was all down the front of his pants :lol:

PS it was chocolate gateaux and very messy,you can't take him anywhere! ;)

PPS waste of good cake if you ask me :)

if someone had offered me some cake,

i would have served it up on plates for all with forks/spoons (which I had on site!) *tsk*
