 Oh my! First HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY!!!

If I'm not too late, please add my name to the list for the Anniversary Kite ... hopefully more will be made than a Masterpiece series. ???

Really like the design!!

Hope all are resettled after the excitement of the fires.

Let me know when to send the check to Lolly :) (and, oh by the way, how much did I just agree to???)

Wonderfuly simple photo John. You can clearly see the link to the 20th anniversary kite there.

Thanks, I could not resist taking that photo.

I guy whom I never saw before had an almost new looking early REV I, with the very old bridle, on it at Mission Bay. Walt had is JB up in the air close to him and they just started flying lazy eights when my camera appeared. The camera was a small Nikon CP S2.

So there you go, 2 exellent kites just happened to be in the right place, at the right time.

Often good pictures are more luck than judgement.

Just happening to be there at the right time, with a camera helps too of course. There are SO mant things I wish I had a snapshot of.

The secret is to always keep a small camera in your pocket when ever you go out.

I chose the Nikon Coolpix S2 because it is small like a pack of cigs. It is rugged and water resistant. The battery pack goes for quite a while. Too bad that it is not made anymore, but there are plenty of new ones still on the market.

As much as I love the design of that 20th anniversary kite. I don't like how it is not symmetrical. Would't the uneaven panel arrangement cause it to fly strange??? I propose something like this:

I guess you would not have liked the Asymmetric REV I of the mid-90s like this one. It flew quite well.

I like your design too, but it lacks the clear definition of the evolution of the REV. For me I would choose a different color scheme.

The key with the 20th anniversary kite is the history considered in the design... With half of the original design on one side and the latest design on the right, it's a legacy.

To make a variant like any of those offered (they were cool) would make either side no longer original.

Don't need a vented on this one, it's a collectors item, flown as a standard in reasonable wind, probably not in competition.

I've already got my name on the list to buy one, just because the kite is such a statement. ;)

I fully agree with John.

This is a limited Edition REV not a standard production REV.

It presents perfectly the history of the Revolution kite better then any design I have seen or heard of or can think of.

It is really for the true Revolution collector.

All the kites I have built are asymetrical and fly sweet. There has never been any issues with any of them... least none I have heard of, and I love flying them ... just got to FIND em lol

The word I have from Rev is that there will only be 250 of these special gold label anniversary kites produced. After that the templates will be discarded/destroyed and never made again. The suggested retail price is going to be in the area of $350.00, just slightly more than the B-series. They will be framed in Race Rods and the price includes kite and bag only. Accessories will be sold separately.

Ben, please correct me if I am wrong.
