jburka
Since we seem to have moved on to blimps, I think this is now appropriate: This is an early Rev I (note the old logo!) flying on...um...it was probably 100' (maybe 75'?) lines inside the Hindenburg hangar in Lakehurst, NJ. We used to do indoor flys there back in the mid-90s. The kite belonged to Dave Arnold, and his wife, Sherrie, took the picture. I'm frankly not sure if Dave or I was the person flying one the pic was taken, as we were taking turns with the kite. Stock sail, spectra bridle, two-wrap frame. Loads of fun... There's plenty of info out there about Hangar 1 for those interested....though I kind of doubt that we'll ever get to fly there again. mrdenny
Here we go again,, Denny and his shuttle pictures. What can I say, I conceder it a famous landmark. "CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- The space shuttle finally piggybacked its way to Florida on Friday, after wintry storms and crosswinds again delayed Endeavour's trek to the Kennedy Space Center. Endeavour, fixed to the top of a modified 747, first began the return to its Florida home Wednesday morning from Edwards Air Force Base in California. It took off Thursday afternoon after an overnight stop in Fort Worth, Texas, but again had to stop for the night at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana. The shuttle entered Florida airspace around 2 p.m. Friday" I was very cool.

Lauranyyfan
Mr. Denny, Those are great shots. I stop to watch plains whenever possible; anything in flight is amazing to me. Your combo can't be beat. The colors of your Rev are also perfect. Any chance I could get a copy of the last one? I have large photo frame with about 20 4x6 spaces which I am dedicating totally to those special Rev shots. Hopefully, it will look as good as I anticipate. PM me your email and I will send 6 un-cropped shots so you can edit at will. Because the end of the program is near, there is a very good chance this is the last time we will see the shuttle in this configuration which is why after all these years I went down to take the shots. Thank you all for the nice coments.

I've always done that as well, even before getting into kite flying! Now I like to chase birds and planes with my Rev. Hee.

I confess I like to surprise seagulls. I see them coming up the beach, take the rev down low, once they get close enough... -Alden

rcom714
My Brand new Custom B Pro with the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in the background. For those that don't know, when built in 1964 the bridge was the longest suspension type bridge in the world. It connects Staten Island NY with Brooklyn NY. rcom714
Would be good to see a picture with both of them in Laura.Sure looking good though. Sooner than you think you'll see shots of both Old Glorys flying together. With the wind blowing in the direction it was, the kite was at the extreme edge of the window and I was at a severe angle to that so there was no way to get me, the kite and Lady Liberty in the shot. Whadda day tho! The pictures don't even begin to do it justice.
