melnsct
Is the Super Blast the same thing as the Power Blast just older? Were there significant changes made to the kite or just a name change? Thanks for your help. Hugsw, Melanie
antman
the super blast is the large 4.8 verson.. the power blast is the 2.4 those 2 are revs power kites
awindofchange
Actually the Superblast was the original name for the Power Blast 2-4 before the 4-8 was released. When the Power Blast 4-8 was released the "Superblast" was then re-named to the Power Blast 2-4. So the Power Blast 2-4 is basically the exact same kite as the "Superblast" was with a new name change. The Original "Superblast" was released I believe around 2003 (might be wrong on the actual year it was released) and the name change was a year or so later so if you have the "Superblast" you have the 2003 release (again I might have the wrong year) if you have the "Power Blast 2-4" then you have a 2004 or later model. The "Superblast" is NOT the same as the Power Blast 4-8. The 4-8 is about twice the size and has 6 vertical spars compared to 4 verticals on the 2-4 and superblast. CLTKiter
My wife won't let me own either of the Power Blasts. She's afraid that I'll either kill or maim myself or someone else. Smart woman!!
ramakristan
Yes, I can't agreed more with your wife, both the Blasts can be dangerous to fliers and people around it unless safety is taken. These monsters can generate lots of powers. I have one Super Blast bought in 2004 and when I fly it, I make sure people are not near it. Though it gave me lot of workouts, I only fly in light or moderate winds. cheers chris

Ok the vented B is the 'best' kite in my bag but nothing else I have thunders around the sky like the 2~4 in 4 knots of breeze, ... anything over 10 knots and its stays locked away for now ... still scares the sh&t out of me at times but I guess that's the appeal..
