Okay, we've GOT to have a full length report and photos from this one when it happens...

Please, can I talk someone into 1,000 words and a couple dozen photos?

It's easier than it sounds, and you don't have to be a Rev guru to appreciate kites enough to write a good article. ;)

Hi John

I am quite happy to take the photos as my Canon 40D I bought is not really getting enough

use (according to the other half :) ), Bruce is the man for anything above the ground though.

Not to sure on my writing skills so perhaps that is best left to someone else !

regards

Dave M

Looks like 0930 for 1030 is the target time then :blue_wink:

And good points made about breakfast - most important meal of the day. But I couldn't lower myself to McD. The good news is that there is a Krispy Cream at LU2 9LR which, acording to multimap, is only a few miles away. Mmmmmm Donuts :P . Bad news is that it is the other side of passport control at the airport.

It looks like the Hockliffe has a Little Chef onsite for a Bacon Buttie.

IDEA,,,,,

All the T/Lodges have a brew facilities in the room ,but i will be takeing stuf with me to make a Flask of coffee/Tea up in the room for refreshments at the flying site.Useing ther Kettle for boiling the water.May be an idea for everyone to take a flask for hot water. The possibilities are endless.Cupa Soup,Pot Noodle,Tea,Coffee, etc, etc.

You're way off the mark there If you're looking for a Full English, this IS the National Trust we're talking about here, think, more, little old lady, "nice cup of tea and a sit down" :)

Oh well stopping at the Luton TL Friday Night, must be somwhere around there for Brekky. Look out for a Cafe with loads of lorries outside it is often best I find.

You will pass a Tesco on the way to the Downs, I think they do a half decent breakfast, so you could order two. :)

Not cheap, not early but BREKKY. Nowt wrong with 3 Brekkies a Day. And if Tesco is half decent that means 6 Brekkies.

You all now presume I am a bit on the portly side, you wouldnt be far wrong. I am not fat, just borderline Obese according to my Dr. But then according to those BMI type charts anyone who is not skinny is borderline Obese.

All I need is BREKKIE (I think everyone knows that now) Toilets, Water (or Coke or other pop and rubbish type drinks) and Wind. Not always in that order. Although the BREKKIE is pretty important.

I'll write something JB - though you mightn't want to rely on it as THE definitive report, what with my virtually complete inexperience. :kid_content:

RE: Breakfast. I did say "think they do a decent breakfast" to be honest I'm not entirely sure that Tesco still has a cafe but if not turn right at the Norman King, opposite the church and just after the "duck" railway bridge (trust me you'll know it when you see it), for Asda I know they will be able to sort you out. Give McDonnalds a miss Saturday as you may well be stuck with them Sunday as supermarkets don't open till 10:00.

Mmmm MMMmmmm MMMMMM. That looks like it would just wash down the 2 Bacon and Egg sarnies and 2 Egg custard tarts I just had for my tea a treat.

Bri if that is a picture of the Tesco brekkie looks like it will do for me.

Bob when you say "duck" railway bridge that worries me a bit, will I get my Land Rover under it and still have a roof rack on it do you think??
