Fraserx
Sorry should have numbered the image so it does not become even more confusing. No 25: Ant, the boat has nothing to do with the problem. John, it is not shot from the Rev1 and it was shot using a different camera, the image was captured several months before the previously posted images, its just the place thats the same, its near Robs house so we fly there a lot. Fraser, its not Colne Point, (that is 2 miles away) its a view in that general direction over Ray Creek. The focus is bottom left. My God - it's a shark - and it's obvoiusly eaten yer Rev! I think this was the second series of REV T-shirts. Seems to me there was the yellow, pink and teal versions. Dates I am not really sure but I think Rev still sold them also in 1994. The REV T-Shirt before it was dark blue with pink writing on the pocket. I don't recall what the back looked like. Yes, those were my younger years. I still had dark hair. The location is: St. Gallen in Switzerland in August 1993. Next photo please!

I did say the photo was taken in 1993. At the time of the photo there were not than many manufacturers of dual line kites thus a design of one didn't change every 6 months, but every few years. You are surely seeing designs in the photo going back to the very late 80's and early 90s.

johnnmitchell
that would be Lam Hoc ? but I dont know where lol It is Lam Hoac and he looks like is no more then about 18. Tips for the location: Behind Lam is Josephine Robertshaw. In the background it appears to be the team Lung Ta on the competition field. Next to Simon, not in this picture, is Jeanette Lummas. Where could this be with the ground looking like snow but everyone running around in shorts and T-shirts. I was also there and I took the picture. Both Lam and John B know the answer. johnnmitchell
aaaahhhhhh Guadaloupe. If you have to ask, you weren't there Stephen has solved it. It was the only competition to date between Europe and the USA. It had dual line individuals, pairs, team competitions and quadline individual competitions. It took place on the islands of Guadeloupe in the Carribean close to Venezuela in June 1997. Stephen was flying on team Sky Dance with Jeanette and Mark Lummas representing Europe. Today, all of them fly both dual and quadline kites for demonstration.

johnnmitchell
nice pics john .. man that sand almost looks like snow Many Thanks! It was neither snow nor sand. It was calcium. It was brighter the snow and really hurt the eyes. The calcium surface was especially laid down for the competition because it had been too dry and the ground had cracked terribly. Apart from the bolder size bits of rock the surface was a real pain (literally). It is the only time I have ever had to put sun screen UP my shorts!!!! johnnmitchell
Quick point, Lam STILL loks like he is 18!!! Yep, and when I look again at the photo from 1997, he looks closer to 15. Three years of aging in 10 years, not bad at all!
