AdventureAng
Hi Ang....Count me in. At least he knows that his Rev family is there for him. I don't know about anyone else, but my family (for the most part) doesn't get this kite thing at all. If I had a problem like this, they would roll their eyes about it. They can't comprehend me spending a dime on a kite, never mind what they really cost. I don't bother letting 'em know; it's not worth it. THANKS FOR THE DONATION!!! And yeah, most family members don't get it (blood family members that is). That's what we're all here for though; to help each other when times are tough. AdventureAng
I think you will find with the family spirit that is on here that someone will have to get a bigger butt, or share the stickers round a bit ;-} Trust me.....my butt is plenty big enough for everybody. Okay, that sounded really bad. haha. Thanks for the donation; it means a lot.
Scott Weider
Antman man, So sorry to hear about your B. Prolly not a lot can be done to ammend for the ways of an inconsiderate jerk and his dog but fortunately for you the fine folks at Rev will likely show some support and help for you.In the grand scheme of life though losing your B to a dog who doesn't know better and an owner that should, it kind of pales in comparison to finding out about the sudden death of a friend and coworker. That being the small tidbit that bought me off the flying field today. Not mentioning it for the outpouring of sympathy , rather just to bring to light how fortunate we are to be able to enjoy the little things in life we enjoy so much for way too short a time. "Goes to show, you don't never know, watch each card you play and play 'em slow" A one of a kind kite was destroyed, and can be replaced ANT, life is short and can't be replaced, JUST Remembered, for all enjoy the small things and each other, until it is close to home we all take for granted, so to the man and his dog (NOT RESPONSIBLE) he'll get his for not owning up! For you ANT, good things will come back, good luck will happen, look how lucky you were to get the kite, so it will happen. Keep the faith, and remember. Thanks for the donation. And I already have a special bikini in the works. You'll LOVE it! But you're right, it wouldn't be complete without an iQuad stick
AldenMiller
WOW! Thanks for the donation. And I already have a special bikini in the works. You'll LOVE it! But you're right, it wouldn't be complete without an iQuad stick "An IQUAD stick" implies just one. I think we are way beyond that now. I think Antman ought to send the kite back and have another half made for it (a different color). Then have it re-attached in the middle with something that looks like a Frankenstein scar. -Alden

awindofchange
Hey Ang, I would love to help out and think this is an awesome and wonderful thing you are doing for one of our family. You ROCK and are one of the main reasons that I love kiting as much as I do. I have said it time and time again that kite flyers are some of the best people in the world to know and be around. You are truely an outstanding example of what that means. A Wind Of Change being one of the largest retailers of Revolution products in the U.S., would be honored to help you and Antman with the donations (not to mention to be able to slap a couple of stickers on) ...so here's my idea if that is ok with you and your fund raising efforts: The B-series kite suggested retail is $299.00. A Wind Of Change will match every donation dollar one for one and supply Antman a spankin' new B-series vented sail and any replacement rods that may have been damaged. When the donations reach $150.00, send em on over and we'll get Antman back in the air! Although it doesn't help fix ignorant disrespectful and irresponsible people out there, it should help ease the loss of the kite! P.S. This may also help with the "cheek" coverage congestion and I still get to give ya two stickers so save me a spot!

That is VERY generous of you, but the kite that got ruined was a mid-vent (not just any ordinary vented , so we're looking to replace that exact same kite. That kite had certain centimental value to it since it came directly from Ben and I know that Antman really wants the exact same thing. I'll leave it up to Antman though, it's going to be his kite, so we'll let him pick. And yes, the spirit of flying isn't just in the air, but it's in the people who share this same passion. Thanks so much for your generosity.

rcom714
Ant, We just started communicating a couple of weeks before Wildwood. We met there and then flew side by side in the mega fly. Amazing fun! But I feel like I've known you for much longer. You've obviously had that effect on so many people in and around you that they've felt compelled to help you out in your time of need, myself included. Kent's offer is also a testament to the good will of this group and the like minded people who share our passion. I guess what I'm trying to say in short is: I'm glad to know you! Can't wait to fly with you again.
awindofchange
I didn't realize it was a custom sail till now but no prob... I just got off the phone with Ben and it looks very promising, I wont go into phone details but we're still willing to offer the same deal. We will match dollar for dollar raised on getting the kite replaced. Ang, as soon as you get done working out the details with Ben and Revolution, just let me know and we'll do whatever we can to make this happen. We'll get you back in the air soon Ant my friend!
