Color scheme ideas

Well you guys got me here on color scheme and such and yes I can do just about anything if the money is right and

lets talk colors so all of you know I see a ton of pretty kites but what a lot of people forget is that a lot of these colors

are not made by the cloth manufactures so to get this you have to have them die the weight cloth you want in the

color you want with a minium order from North Cloth of $1500.00 and a wait of up to 180 day turn around. As for panel

lay out if you want to dream it I will have it done just show me what you want and then except the fact of what you doing will

be very heavey because of stitching and extra colors weigh different so no :censored: if it does'nt fly like you think it

should, but what I want to make very clear I will do what you want done and it will be done correct and my reputation on

that fact stands on it's own....... :blue-cool: What I'd prefer is that we as a team work on the project and you trust my

ideas and know that they work cause if I'm doing it I've already made the protype and it works, all that needs to be understood is that it takes time if I have to have cloth died and money but I want you to be a part of the whole thing

but please include all the needs done, 1 different color centers must be run if thats what you want and not all color inks work

on this material and the printer needs his share of $ so it cost extra and include print time 2. There are no

pattens to work off of so they must be created then the cloth cut, once again extra money for the sewers. 3. More time

to sew because of the panel lay up, extra $ again for the sewers time. 4. Back cutting the panels more time again and

you guessed it more money cause the workers need to be paid...5. Then the big one my headaches but thats free cause

I live for this stuff............. :blue-love::blue-love: But if you have an idea and want to put it together I'm willing, you

just need to know it cost both $$$$ and time, so with that said the balls in your court and if you want it I'll make it happen.

Hi Ben, you got to admit though there are some NEAT Revs apearing on here.

I think most of them are probably "mind" Revs that most understand are too difficult or expensive to do, although as you say, throw enough money at it and almost anything is possible. Nothing to say that it will fly well though.

You never know mind. Next years colour layout might be as a result of a setup from here.

Keep them coming folks. I specialy liked the Seasonal Stack.

I dont like the above Kite, the coulors are gerish, its probably the UGLYEST QUAD IVE SEEN,includeing yours DEREK[Wuffer].To use Steves own words,Its Not My Cup Of Tea.

BUT

Steves Good Lady made the kite from second rate SCRAP pieces that where given to her.So they didnt choose the coulors, its what they just had and i think its ther first atempt at a Quad or second.I certainly couldnt put the Kite together myself.I can also confirm it flys AMAZEINGLY WELL.

Bravo mate,THE CRAB,by Pudders :),who owns several Revs BTW.

BRIAN...ps,Its a quad NOT a Rev.Ther is a diffrence.

Excellent information!

The original idea of this thread was to stay within the panel layouts from REV. Even with these colors we, including me, have come up with are simply not on the market. They must be created, as Ben says; it costs lots of money extra.

Revolution presently has three panel layouts for the 1.5. The EXP, SLE and JB. With these panel layouts alone we can come up with some really neat REVs. There are two or three older panel layouts for the 1.5 which I presume still exists.

Is a new panel layout needed or is this sufficient?

Me cheeky Derek,Never  .

Steve knows i dont like his kite and we nicknamed it the Crab.It reminds me of a creature in SPONGE BOB SQUARE PANTS.I hope you and Steve never fly them together.I wouldnt want the coulors to clash  .

Great work Derek.Keep the ideas comein.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT.

Baloo how right you are,

You must also realise how the changing of panel layout, once in production run on a kite, seriously effects wastage from the cloth when you are cutting out 500 kites.

Cloth price is now extremely expensive and the number of colors are disappearing.

It may seem to all of us an easy change. Now compond that change in $. There are so many things that need to be worked out.

It's a little like changing the course of an oil tanker...possible, but it takes time to stop and change direction.

Well, Congratulations! it is being discussed and it is the actions of this forum that are bring it about. So well done everyone.

Keep em coming.

The tanker is slowing down and the new course is being decided.

Rev/Ben/Lolly/Joe/Dave do listen....and it will happen...is happening

Keep thinking and talking and sharing. The product is made for you, the flyer.

Oh and for those of you not on race rods......WAKE UP! :kid_smartass:

Hi all.

My son likes the green one. :)

My small contribution.

I like the top row designs! :D

Anyone know what the 2008 Rev colors will be?

ps. If I don't get to the forum in the next week, I wish everyone here a Wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! Buying a Rev and getting to know so many great people in the kiting community has been one of the major positives in my life this past year.

From what I heard panel layouts will remain unchanged.

For the JB, John mentioned in some thread, one color scheme will be dropped, I forget which, and will be replaced by teal/black.

Already done, TEAL took over for LIME a couple months ago.

Those limes are practically a limited edition now. ;)

Just waiting on pics of the teal from Rev, and I'll update the site.

There is a picture at:

If that does not work try:
