Rev training day in the UK

As promised a map for the Hocklifffe guys. I have not included any eateries as I figured that you have a Happy Eater attached to your hotel. However I have included enough detail on this map to allow you to match it up to the Luton map in case you wanted to go further afield in search of sustenance.

Though the most direct route to the Downs is through Dunstable I would recommend you take my route through Tottenhoe to avoid Saturday morning traffic. On my route I would estimate 10-15mins journey time.

Have a safe journey one and all

See you all Saturday Morning

Just had a quick check of my hotel booking. I went for the Luton traveloge as the prices were rising on the Hockliffe one at the time. I appear to have bought breakfast at the hotel (In the bar cafe it appears). Still I suppose that doesn't stop me having a second breakfast, but I thought I would mention in just in case any of the Luton crowd would prefer not to call into a supermarket or whatever.

Anyway, it also appears I booked in for Friday night. I am not sure what time I will arrive, but if anyone else happens to be there, and by coincidence is sat in the bar, and happens to see a tall (6'4''), slightly greying, confused looking gent probably in jeans and cowboy boots, then they will know who it is! If they were feeling sociable they could even ask him to buy them a beer.

I got some Sedgwicks, I got some Sedgwicks, I got some Sedgwicks, eeeee IIIII adio I got some Sedgwicks. Do I sound happy enough?????

As far as Luton is concerned look out for a balding, greying, fat-ish sad lonely old chap with a silly hat, no maybe not the silly hat. And good news about Brekky in the TL, as long as it is a PROPER Brekkie.

Hopefully see you, amongst others I expect on Friday night then Jeremy

Okay, apologies Hockliffe guys.

I am told I have directed you a long way round to avoid the Saturday morning traffic the word document below gives directions for a more direct route, I knew it existed but I didn’t know it well enough to describe it but I am reliably informed that it is not as complicated as I thought so here goes. Safe journey one and all.

On a more serious note.

I need to buy some Black Dacron type thread to do a repair (and maybe even make a kite) if anyone has some spare that I might buy off them that would be fantastic.

Thanks, Chris.

I have about 1000 x 50mm sticky back spinaker tape (light weight ripstop dacron) in black. Any good to you? Would like to keep some, say 50cm. Will put to bring up at the weekend

I would suggest you contact the guys from Kiteworld they are coming, if they have any I'm sure they will bring some.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the recent demise of Mr. G Tyrell’s hard drive.

:C was a dearly loved friend and he will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with the family at this very difficult time.

On a more serious note that does mean that until he has bought and installed a replacement he will not be able to respond to any posts on this forum or to any email.

Found some nice mustards lurking on the shelves - hmmm... (thinking about it though, 'Lurking' might not be the best description of what jars of Mustard do on shelves - substitute 'ornamenting' for 'lurking on' will you.)

Noticing that post about needing some dacron... I'll be calling into The Highwaymen towrds the weekend if anybody wants anything picking up - you know, order it over the phone and tell Shirley I'll pick it up sort of thing. Just a thought.

Oh, unless Joe has anything left to clear through? Where's Tyrrell - he'd know. ;-)
