Gaiiden
I don't think anyone here could ask for a better b'day present than the one I got yesterday. I'm part Japanese and I'm very proud of that aspect of my heritage and having a rev sail to proclaim that is the be-all-end-all for me, and that's what I got! Check it out! The lettering on the side says "Happy Birthday" (tho if you read Kanji it prob doesn't look right since I took the pic from the back of the kite - whoops!) Everyone give huge props to my girl AdventureAng for creating this sail completely from scratch using her B-Series rev as a template. I still have to hook on bridles from an old rev kite I have and test it out. She doesn't think it'll fly but I'm sure I can get some air time out of it We hope to have it flying at LKF (NJSKC) this weekend. Keep ya all posted! AdventureAng
Thank you everyone for the wonderful remarks on my b-day present to Gaiiden. I'm glad you all have faith that it will fly, so we'll see. I put it together and the sail looked a little lose, so we'll see how that effects it. I'm looking to buy some white b-series sails so I can just design things and not worry about it not being able to fly. If anybody can hook me up, I'd appreciate it. fortflyer
always wondered if a rev without a top screen would peform as well with one that does.. Antman I've seen many Home Made Rev's with no screen, supposedly the screen helps with reverse flight. The ones I have seen without the people usually made a series of cigarette sized holes down the length where the screen would normally be (really looks cool too) and no I don't think they used cigarettes to make them lol. skysail
Sail looks great. A little slackness just gives it some shape and pulling power. Just tell people you broadseamed the sail. John
antman
ang just tighten the bottom scohkcords and the sail will be nice and tight and will fly better and as for fort fliers idea that does sound pretty cool i would like that better then the screen
