KiteLife
It's a Rev II, I'm guessing it was flown by David Brittain... Clearly inside of a large inflatable kite, but it's nearly impossible to tell which one.
Simon
Very well done, between the two of you, you have pretty much got it. I'll have to dig out some old shots... It is a custom rev 2 (early SUL) with very thin professional rods, no bridle as it was indeed Dave Brittain's and was part of a 3 stack, he gave it to me at Docklands Arena London. I'm flying it inside the Trilobyte @ Bristol 1999. Check Page 79 of the 2000 Guiness Book of records ©. I'll post a bigger version when I get home. Simon
OK, as no one else has come up with anything for a while (day or two) It's relevant as they all Fly in Rev Teams. Who are they Left to right? Which Country? Bonus Point what City? Double Bonus Point what Hotel? Name the Rev Teams?

Who are they Left to right? Which Country? Bonus Point what City? Double Bonus Point what Hotel? Name the Rev Teams? I know who they are. The country is one of two, but I am not 100% sure which. Judging by the bath robes, I think it was at the October 1996 location and hotel, not the June 1997 location and hotel. I was staying at the same hotel, but I forget the name even if I was sure which country. Two fly on one REV team and the other on another REV team. Now I will leave it someone else to fill in the missing information.
Simon
I was staying at the same hotel, but I forget the name even if I was sure which country. John, I may be wrong, but I dont recall you being at the hotel! Are you thinking of a beautiful flying site overlooking a crystal blue sea... If so - it's not that one. Simon. PS. Been in the phote box, have a great one ready, it's a mystery photo, I dont even remember who it is?

Well Done, Monkey Boy - see it's true give a Monkey a keyboard and eventually they hit all the right keys... Even spelled Jeanette correctly ! PS. No Stepehen you can't answer!! PS. No Stepehen you can't answer!! Mark, Jeanette and Stephen are definitely correct. They were Team Sky Dance at the time. They are quite a bit younger in that photo, so I am guessing closer to 1995/1996. It is a major event such as EuroCup or World Cup and they are staying at a fancy hotel that supplies bath robes. My latest thoughts are EuroCup 1995 at Hamm, Germany. There all the contestants stayed free at a fancy hotel.

johnnmitchell
3 of the 4 from Skydance correct.Ok, it's 1996 Yes Major Event Simon. There was a fourth member, but I don't recall him flying on the team at any major event if any. I don't recall his name either, but he did function more as their manager. I vaguely seem to recall a name something like Doug. In 1996 there was the Malaysia Airline World Sport Kite Grand Prix at Kota Kinabalu Malaysia, but this seems out due to your previous comment of it not being "a beautiful flying site overlooking a crystal blue sea". In 1996 there was the EuroCup at LeTouquet. You said you don't think I was there, thus this is ruled out. I won Quad at LeTouquet. In 1996 there was the WorldCup in Japan. I don't know where in Japan nor was I there. I'll bet on World Cup Japan 1996. Hotel, no idea. As for the quadline teams. Jeanette and Mark fly on "Too Much Fun" in the USA. Stephen flies on "Flying Squad" in the UK.

Just thought I'd add the bit about 4th member, for the anoraks. Skydance always flew with a #1,2 & 4 They had a flyer at 3, but they always left before they got to competitions.. Seem to remember Simon Nosworthy was the last #3. Why did you have to bring up Le Touquet... (BTW I was Multi Line Head Judge, best group of Judges I've ever worked with, all flyers and they knew what they were doing.)

johnnmitchell
Mystery Photo No. 41 Who is the famous quad line competitor in the middle with the white sweat shirt on? Ruud
Almost correct. Read the question again! I did, but frankly I don't know any of these guys... The picture is named "wm_199414_27.JPG" On the picture you can see "eurocup" That year it was held in St Moritz and the one in the sweats shirt looks Italian to me, so... From that time the only competitors I know is Martin Baks and you John. Ruud

I had suspected that the person would have been easily guessed, but the rest would have been more difficult. The picture are from the flag presentations at the EuroCup 1994 opening ceremonies at St. Moritz, Switzerland. From left to right are: Paolo Milano - Italy Holm Gottschling - Germany Ernst Kofler - Austria ?. Lequerc - Belgium ? - mystery person Pierre Marzin - France Simo Salanne - Finland ?(red hat) - possibly Switzerland (actually not in the flags lineup) Charles Hill - Luxembourg Robo Spitters - Netherlands Monica ? - Switzerland (actually not in the flags lineup) Rudy Weisskopf - Switzerland (organizer and ND of Switzerland) I have no idea who the moderator is. Who is the mystery person in the white sweat shirt?

johnnmitchell
Carl Robertshaw ? CORRECT! Carl in his early 20's. Carl placed first in both dual and quad line individuals. The team he flew on, Airkraft, was DQ'd. Who is coming up with the next Mystery Photo? How about you?
