johnnmitchell
Scratch that I figured it out.... it is sand spread in the shape of a Rev in Denmark That is getting quite close, put the sand was not spread to create the shape. The tails of that REV shape should give you a clue.
Morrunya
There is deffinately a rev there. I can see one of the down spars. It's small, so I'm guessing a Rev 2. This is a white custom rev, or it has some sand on it or something. I don't think it is raining though, it's just windy.

However, an actual REV had something to do with it. It was not rainy nor had it rained in the last hours. Clue: Wind has something to do with it. johnnmitchell
I think you left a rev out one night and it got frozen in .. At the time of the photo, there was no actual REV in the photo. It all happened during the day time and it did not freeze. Time of the year was June at Fano in Denmark. I don't think the temperature got lower the 15c, but it was a bit windy.
ilh
Sand spread on hard/dark ground, Rev placed on top, wind blows away unprotected sand, Rev picked up leaving "image" of Rev?
cwhippie
Sand spread on hard/dark ground, Rev placed on top, wind blows away unprotected sand, Rev picked up leaving "image" of Rev? Yeah, there is a second picture on John's site that shows the leading edge, and a gap for the LE mesh. also there are a couple edges that are "smudged" I have to agree with the theory of wind blowing away the sand that was not protected by the kite. Morrunya
Sounds possible to me.
johnnmitchell
Ihn appears to have guessed it. Solution: The beach was hard packed and slightly damp and had coating of light dry sand all over it. I had laid the REV down front side up. During the following time there, the wind had picked up and started blowing the sand everywhere. You can see that when you look at some other pictures on my Web Site at: www.johnnmitchell.com Look under Photographer >> Kiting Photos >> choose a year from 1995 to 1999 >> Fano. Fano 1995 shows clearly how the sand blows at: http://johnnmitchell.vlexo.com/3-Photograp...5/Fano1995.html The sand blew in my ears, up my nose, in my eyes, in my mouth, in the cars and anywhere else it could seep into. What is interesting is that it left a nice REV image made of sand on the ground which I noticed when I picked up the REV. I had somewhere a similar picture using a vented REV which I can't find. The venting was were very clear. Now I must look for a new mystery REV related picture, unless someone else beats me to it.

johnnmitchell
LOL close, through the Power Blast There are power lines crossing above. Trees in the background. First I was guessing autos maybe private airplanes parked or even mobile homes. Now I am thinking a camping area, but there is too much white or light colored items. Hmm! quadkit
I will give it to Ant, it is my front yard, not my back yard. Nothing special at all just a massive reflection of the sun. Check out the walk before run post and you can see how much the sun was shining from the other side.

johnnmitchell
Mystery Photo Number 4! What is the good looking girl doing to the REV or the REV doing to her?
mrdenny
Looks like she is taking a picture. The Rev is pointed away from her.
Morrunya
They aren't related. The lady is farther back than the kite. She is looking at something, and the flyer is just holding his kite to make it look like they are touching. (hint: The side of the kite is far too big compared to the lady.)
