Well, Red Cloud is back in UK. (Cheers Rich) :)

Only trouble is, he is stuck in the Parcel Force depot in Leeds, and here's why

Yes, thay want me to pay £55 for my own kite.

Just phoned Customs up and was told to pay the charges and then claim them back.

I have to cut the Customs lables of the parcel.

Print off, from my computer, any coricpondence? with my contact in USA, that says he has sent it back.

And i have to send proof of shipment from UK to USA of my kite.

What a bloody caper :)

Derek.

Scott. :)

Will do

Alden. :)

No, im not asking Rich to pay.

Rich has allready payed postage from USA to UK.

I, myself have to pay UK V.A.T and import duty before i can collect my kite

If Rich tryed to pay, it would be rejected, because Costoms need proof of this and proof of that and proof of the other

So what happens now is;  i go to the Leeds parcel depot, pay the charges, get my kite, and then claim the charges back from UK Costoms

As i say, bloody stupid

Derek.

I know you are not asking Rich to pay but that can't stop me from indirectly busting his chops! He'd do the same to me. And I would laugh also.

I could feel Alden's pain on that one!!!! lol

You did forget to mention what a great time it was!!!!

(Was I typing out loud, again?) ;)

Honestly, Alden, we missed you!!! Are you going to Sunfest?

I'm hoping, I'm hoping. Things need to settle down at work first. I am hoping to have a better idea next week.

It is known as 'British Returned Goods' and so, as long as you have proof of export from UK to USA, you should get your money back. The Post Office does not know about such things, hence the need to pay them to get release.
