Question

iQuad folks, here's the mix for Std and Vented into the B-series. How do you mix in Race Rods?????? :confused!: :blue-confused:

3-10 mph (2 wrap frame) Std

5-20 mph (3 wrap frame) Vented

4-16 mph (3 wrap frame) Std

6-30 mph (4 wrap frame) Vented

6-20 mph (3 wrap frame w/2 wrap LE added) Std

10-45 mph (4 wrap frame w/3 wrap LE added) Vented

This should be helpful. :sign_kitelife:

I have never broken a Rev spar, but I do take extra care with the 2 Wraps.

If the wind is light and bumpy with gusts, I'll use the Race Rods instead of the 2 Wraps.

The Race Rods are often in my Vented when it's at the lower end of its wind range.

Much to my Blushes,i broke a race rod at Dunstable.I had Race Rods and 4 wrap in JB vented leading edge.Like a clown i put race spars in the verticles by mistake instead of my 4 wrap.It was blowing a gale at the time and many people either had not set up or had a Mega vent of some kind.,Never gave the verticles that much thought or respect before i soppose.I shall in future.

Ive also used P90 and P100 in a leading edge.Together and solo,,,diffrent again.

Race rods are smashing kit.Best Rod for me

To be completely honest, we don't. :D

Ever since we have moved to race rods, its pretty much all we use, standard or in vented sails, UNLESS its really windy and we'll move to a 4 wrap, or, throw a 3 wrap leading edge in as well for hurricanes...

It's like Monks says.

Don't own one of those fancy wind measuring thingameys so can't give you mph.

Just go on the feel..

Love race rods we use them all the time.

When it's to bendy and you think it's going to break, well put in a stiffer stick! I know it sounds simple but that's as complex as it is!
