Martyjuggles
Hey everyone - just thought i'd care and share with my latest kite project. . . . First off thanks to Richard who came to our Prestatyn Rev Day with Dave B, Big Bri and the rest of the gang for this BRILLIANT idea i can take no credit for the innovation but i did think it was worth a try and the results worthy of sharing on here. . . . Lidl are currently selling ski bags for £6.99 they are about 6' long but with the aid of a sewing machine and a pair of sharp scissors can easily be chopped down to make a great looking (in my opinion!) Kite bag that will comfortably accommodate 4 of my revs and would probably manage up to 6. There was even enough spare fabric left from cutting it down, to make a velcro close interior pocket for lines and handles. . . . See what you think - here's some before and after pics, Marty
bartman
Hmm, I think you should make me one. I have kite bag which is too long, but it is new and I'm afraid to start chopping it up. It might not turn out so good like yours did. Bart

steveb
£6.99 sounds like a great deal! I don't think that you could buy the material and zipper for less than that. Nicely done!

sailor99
£59.99 - sounds like you are trying to generate funds to fill your new kite bag. Personally one does not frequent lidl, and they don't sell luggage in waitrose.

Dave has some inexpensive bags made up special for Revs ... zip up, 42 inches long, holds a dozen revs, has an external pocket. He has them well hidden on his web site ... once you're on his home page do a search on "TKC Custom Revolution Kite Bag" ... the picture makes it look like a terrible bag ... I honestly don't know how he sells any of them off the web site. Ignore all that and try one, they're really pretty good for the money. Many of the IKE members bought one last year and speak highly of it ... that's how I decided to buy one. Or, you could come to Kite Party and see one in person. Cheers, Tom
