Aerochic
Great shots & videos.. you all look like you had a great time!!! I think it's safe to say we all did! How can you not with such great company. I have a new batch of pics added to my gallery now. Must sort through and see if any of the night fly shots look decent. http://www.revkites.com/forum/index.php?au...m&album=221 Edit: Night Fly shots are awful and unusable. Used my pocket digital, that'll teach me. :/

WayneReed
Great shots & videos.. you all look like you had a great time!!! This is true. Although I am not yet ready for team flying, I enjoyed the non-stop hilarity coming from those who were! I had no idea how much laughter accompanies such a precision activity. Although they were not as accurate as the IQuad team alone, I think they had at least as much fun as the professionals. I am looking forward to the day that I can "play well with others". In the meantime, I enjoyed flying my mango and trying Steve's mid-vent, Bazzer's full-vent, and Laura's stick-equipped kites. After playing with the 1.5 sized rigs, I found myself a total klutz with my Backtracker. I may retire it to static decoration in my basement. The weekend got me thinking about a next step for a Rev to complement my non-vented 1.5 SLE (w/3-wrap LE). Difficult decisions indeed. I agree, great shots but when I saw all of us refueling that was impressive! Thank you! [edit] I attached the one night flight shot that was on my camera that came out... No, it wasn't quite like the first one... but than is anything quite like the first time . Seriously, though... we laughed as much as we flew and we flew a lot! Wish you were there. Maybe next time... hmmmmmmm, maybe Wildwood... try, try, try!

Aerochic
I attached the one night flight shot that was on my camera that came out... [/edit]-Alden That's kinda how mine turned out! I understand the flash not reaching the kite, but what the heck is all that snowy stuff!?!?! I'm glad that everyone is enjoying the pics. At the times when the winds became too much of a challenge or I just needed a break from flying it certainly was fun to take pics. I'm glad I was able to get that refueling shot. I actually stopped flying to snap a pic or two because you all were doing some neat stuff over there.

AldenMiller
but what the heck is all that snowy stuff!?!?! My guess would be sand on the lens or in the air since it was blowing so much. -Alden
Lauranyyfan
I'm actually guessing that the camera automatically bumps up the ISO to compensate for low light (if it's set on auto or nightshot) and then you get what would be equal to graininess in plain film. I don't remember the technical name... just a guess though.... Although, I do like "spooky orbs"... especially since it's almost Halloween. I just remembered (I think) it's called noise. So, I guess for a bunch of rev flyers, there's always going to be "noise"
rcom714
Carolyn... Great shots! I like how we all "Stacked Up" on your last photo posted. Agreed......Love the refuel. Looked really good. The 45 degree landing is also a cool shot. Did notice that Brad's kite was not in either shot. Wonder how that happened?

Mike
The multi-color graininess (look at the parking lot) is digital noise. The big dots are... maybe a dirty lens?
glk47
Like Alden posted earlier, proof that garbage bags can do the quad thing, too Thanks Alden & Laura - there are 8x10's of those on my office door! As soon as I can figure out how to get a picture into a post, I'll show a couple of mine. Larry
WayneReed
The multi-color graininess (look at the parking lot) is digital noise. The big dots are... maybe a dirty lens? If the dots are light rather than dark, then they are particlulate (water droplets, snow, dust, etc) in the air illuminated by the flash. Water droplets are especially good at reflecting the flash back to the camera. If they are dark and very unfocused, they can be something located on the lens. Aerochic
Ahhhhh Ok, Digital Noise seems about right. There was a storm front approaching (as we all know now) and the winds were howling so I wouldn't be surprised if there were some fine water drops in the air as well. Never saw that in pics before. Learn something new everyday! :? Thanks Alden & Laura - there are 8x10's of those on my office door! As soon as I can figure out how to get a picture into a post, I'll show a couple of mine. I wondered what you were doing with that garbage bag when I passed by! LOL! Very Silly...
WayneReed
I found a webcam image that shows some Revs on Friday over the Wildwoods sign. I don't know if this link goes directly to it. If not, click on the Hall of Fame tab or the comment by Zahara. http://www.earthcam.com/usa/newjersey/wild...ex.php?goto=hof
