Where do you usually fly?

I just posted this on the other location thread, but at the risk of repeating myself my local spot is the Uffington White Horse.

Great spot with great views - just a shame they have now started charging for the car park :kid_cussing:

So spacious and pretty. The view alone has a calming effect. Nice shadow of yourself. :kid_smartass:

My regular flying spot is Mission Bay Park.

Very nice well cut grassy area with plenty of room and plenty of REV fliers.

It is rarely cold and rains even more rarely.

The REVs in the foreground, they aren't mine. They are Big Ben's.

Mine are still packed in the red bag behind Big Ben's REVs.

Adding in a 360 pano and a sunset from Mission Bay Park.

Hi Paul....

I think it's amazing to fly by our National landmarks. I'll be flying Liberty State Park, soon (only 40 minutes away, I should have flown here already :confused!: )... I imagine I'll be humbled to fly with Lady Liberty as a backdrop. (I'm very proud of our great and beautiful country; what can I say? :kid_content: )

Having an outlet for tunes :blue-music: is a huge bonus. My car battery died on me as five hours of flying flew by while the radio was blasting the entire time. :kid_devlish:

Liberty is my home fly area and it's pretty amazing to fly with her as a backdrop. As well you can see Ellis Island, the entry point for many peoples ancestors. But Liberty also affords an incredible view of Lower Manhattan. All of those views sometimes taken for granted by those of us who fly there often but a truly awe inspiring view nonetheless.

Gonna be there tomorrow around 10:30AM if anyone wants to join??? :kid_smartass::kid_smartass:

Just arrived at Cape Bretton, Nova Scotia. Guess what I will be doing..............

Ummmmm lemme see.... not stuck behind a desk that's for sure. :P

It looks stunning, like a rugged Scottish coastline and dramatic scenery.

Have a great time :D

I hope you are feasting on lots of lobster and scallops.

(We treated ourselves to some Chinese style scallops after the kite festival on Sunday but I bet they weren't as nice as yours, (I wore my Cheongsam)) :)

i hope you're not wearing a kilt Scottish style! :kid_frustrated:

Looks like there's a lot of action there...

Just during the annual kite festival, Laura, which is when someone took that picture. Fortunately it seems like the kite fliers come sporadically. That park is open very odd hours too, so I can't go there just any old time I please. Pluses and minuses there. Looks like I'll have to use my local football field sometimes until they close the area off for construction.

John: Coool panorama of Mission Bay! Looks like a wonderful place to fly! :D

you may recognise the same place with the horse and sheep pics.. here.

Ant is the friend whom Groz landed his rev on :)

It's about and 1.5 hours from us so don't get to visit it that often.

It really looks beautiful there, someday maybe I'll be lucky enough to fly there. If I'm really lucky, my goal is to meet up with all of you wonderful people and fly your favorite spots. Pretty cool goal...if I do say so, myself :kid_content: .

So am I... it should be a great time. Look at the photo of my spot... and you can see the New York skyline...in the distance :kid_smartass: . It is much nicer on a clear day; especially after a front blows through.

Unfortunately I don't have a camera with me, so have had to raid one of our PR shots. But here is my current site, just up from the lighthouse. Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Sorry the boat gets in the way of the view:

Shame that ugly great tub of a boat got in the way....

Missing you already!

Yes, when I built them the brief I gave the naval architect was to keep a Volvo in mind as he drew them. I of course meant a Volvo 70', but he thought I meant a Volvo Estate.

(For those who don't know, a Volvo 70' is a fairly quick and very expensive racing yacht. Whereas a Volvo estate is something entirely different)

That explains it all - I was wondering how to fix the roof rack on top.

One of my other favourite local spots .. Butser Hill ... great views.... and here demonstrating a typical English summer sky earlier today ...

(excuse crappy iPhone camera)

That's a great shot (ok, it would have been better with a Canon Rebel XT or something similar :kid_smartass: )...and looks like a great place to fly.
