1. I think the vents are sewn on like any other panel, but I'm don't know for sure

2. On the curve there, the le curves with it. In addition to the 3 origional LE rods, there would be 2 shorter ones connected to the end of the origional LE with an elbow joint connection, then held in place by a normal end cap and bungee. (see diagram)

Stupid Question Time:

Does Revoltion sew all the panels together first, and then punch / cuts the vents out? Or do the vents get sewn in just like any other panel?

Rev will vent any sail the make. They double stick tape and sew the vent screen to the back of the sail, then cut the ripstop material from the front of the sail. Very simple.

Watty

The patriotic with the thirty stars is nice, but very difficult to sew. Stitching and cutting out thirty stars of that size would be very tough. We have done six, five inch stars on the EXPs, and five, five inch stars on the venteds. Thirty would be a real challange.

Looking at your Wattyquad..... You might be able to start with a standard 1.5 with a leading edge shortened to just longer than the didtance between the verticle spars, leaving just enough length for end caps. Cut the kite's upper corners off as your design shows, then run a bridle line from the upper line attachment point to the new lower outside corner formed after the upper corner is cut off. Sew a pocket on the back of the kite from the new corner inward to the verticle spar, then attach that short spar to the verticle spar with a "T" fitting. The movement backwards of the new corner would be limited by the length of the added bridle line.

Might be easier than trying to extend the main spar downward.
