0 johnnmitchell
You can not use the REV 1.5 rods because they are too short. You can use any REV I frame on the your REV I Sedgwick without modification. The thinner rods fit inside the end caps on the LE instead of outside. 0 Lolly
Dear Heino, Thank you for all your nice video posts ! Wonderful !! Yes, the Rev 1 3 wrap - 1/4" ( 8 mm) frame would be very nice for you. It will give a different feel and flight. You will think you got a new kite. Very exciting !! Would you like me to send you purchase information ? Where can I email you price ? I will need your address to estimate shipping charges to Denmark. Thank you again for your flying. 0 makatakam
Heino, to slow down the kite, add more brake by moving top lines further out, or bottom lines in, or both.
0 Robtulloch
The "skinnier" leading edge will make it slower than the thick SLE. I would suggest, too, to let out your top leaders. Adding brake will slow the kite no matter what frame is in the sail.
0 skline53
Also when I went from a SLE to a 2 wrap in my Rev 1 I had to shorten the bungee on the end caps slightly to take up slop and to keep them from popping off easily. 0 johnnmitchell
skline53 is correct, you need to shorten the bungees. You can just move the knot in on one side of both bungees about .25-.5". I would suggest not cutting off the excess as you might want to use the SLE rods at a later date. Also note that there is a rubber washer on end cap of each end of the LE. Don't loose these you will need them for the SLE rods. Without the washer, the SLE rods will cut the bungees. 0 makatakam
Any carbon fiber tubing will work. Of course you will have to cut and install the ferrules yourself. Use a diamond wheel to cut the tubes to get a clean cut that won't splinter. The ferrules should be 75-80mm long. Total cost should be about 200 Krone. 0 johnnmitchell
Try ordering original REV rods either from a kite store in England, where I don't think you have to pay any customs taxes because of the EU or the USA where you will have to pay custom taxes unless customs is being real nice that day..
