I think my Berkeley kite may be here

If I would have been home 20 minutes sooner I'd know for sure.

I have a notice card to pick up a parcel and I'm not expecting any parcels (except for a bag of money I ordered which never seems to arrive) except for this kite. If this be the kite then it is perfect timing for another fun fly attempt here on Sunday!!

Does yours have the SUL leading edge fabric on it? Tom said that he ordered a batch that way. If so, that's super awesome!

What pattern did you end up getting? At the Berkeley Rev Clinic, I saw an Aquarium Two and a Lava, both of which looked amazing. (Of course, I still think Celtic Rainbow is the bestest, but the possibility exists that I may be somewhat biased.) ;)

Mine did arrive yesterday. Celtic Rainbow straight to the park. Looks great but I didn't have a camera with me for pictures. Before I left the post office, the woman at the counter was curious, so I showed it to her. She wants to come out flying sometime. Could be interesting. ;)

Well, it wasn't the bag of money so that means it was the Celtic Rainbow!! Looks fabulous sitting in the house! Hopefully tomorrow there is some nice wind and I can get it in the air. Photos will need to wait until the weekend though. I can't fly and take pictures at the same time!

As for leading edge material.. I dunno. Looks like every other kite I have. I ordered this one with a 2 wrap frame.

...I received my aquarium-one on Tuesday and flew it yesterday! Luv it!

Hey Gang,

Glad the kites arrived safely, and that you like them.

After the first batch of kites were shown at the our BKF, some fliers commented to me that they wished we had done some customs with more purples and blues in them. After thinking about it I couldn't resist adding some new colors into the mix. The results are two new Celtic customs with purple-blue fades. In the first version the fade runs across the panels, much like the Celtic Rainbows. The second version has the purple-blue fade running from the top to bottom of the panels. This version intrigued me so much that I tried a third version with a red-orange-yellow (Fire) fade running from the top to bottom of the panels.

Both of the Purple-Blue fades arrived this week. We are still waiting on the Red-Orange-Yellow kites.

Where would be the best place for me to post images of these new colors? In one of the original "BKF Custom" threads, here, or in a new thread?

Thanks,

Tom McAlister

Tom, I would suggest the original "BKF Custom" thread. There you can see all of your specials.
