I just don't see how ya'll can possibly have a party when I can't be there!!!!!

Melanie in Tennessee

Then, cancel the other plans and come on down!!! ...or up... or across... :sign_kitelife:

Alden and Ang...

It won't be too cold. Not much could top the 40 degrees with some gusty winds or late March... ok, so a blizzard in January, but we won't go there.

It will be one HOT PARTY!!! :kid_devlish:

I wll be there. I have lodging arranged for Thursday through Sunday. I have to register yet but am trying to decide whether it would be worth it for my wife, very much a beginner but showing some grasp of the concepts. As I have never participated in a kite event, I have little idea what to expect, except to meet some interesting characters that share an interest.

I don't know if Barb will be intimidated by all the experts out there. She was starting to get some control of the kite Thursday of last week when we ended up at Wildwood for the day to get those steady winds. She finally had enough success to find it fun instead of frustrating in the weak gusty winds of our inland home area.

Is it ok that I only have the 85' lines, not the longer professional lines? I intend on flying both my 1.5 SLE (with 3-wrap rods) and my Backtracker so I will finally have some bases of comparison. I also hope to try a B series if possible in case I find myself wanting to invest more money in this hobby.

Wayne

Thanks Brad for organizing this event and feeding my interest in kiting.

Hi Wayne...

At the last clinic, the end of March, I had NEVER seen a Rev fly in person, let alone flown one, prior to attending. It was a great experience. They will address all skill levels and everyone is very friendly...ok, perhaps a bit eccentric.... :P

Generally, everyone flies on 120's; unless they're doing "their own thing".

Ok,

I ordered 120' lines for my kite, so if I can develop the skills, maybe I can play with the big kids. B)

Thanks for the reponses. I am looking forward to meeting some of you characters!

120,s are great lines to use .. youll find them really nice as control of the kite is much slower and eazier to do.. i like short lines 60 to 100 feet when im alone .. with others i like the 120s better

Ant likes to fly 119's just so he can be in front of everyone!!! :shifty::blue-cool:

Yeah and Rich likes to fly 121's!

Combine that with the sissy sticks and he's a pain to fly with! :kid_devlish:

But... He's also a nice guy and a good flier so I'll fly with him anytime!

Back at ya Alden. Sure hope ya gonna make it for Wildwood. I'd stand a foot behind you anytime! :sq_wink:

As for Ant, I'd also gladly stand 2 feet behind so him he'll be able to use my sticks to hold/own his hover. :kid_smartass:

Rich, I have a secret to tell you about Ant but I can only share it on the flying field. You've probably already heard it but it has to do with a confession he made during a refueling. :kid_devlish:
