For those traveling to Kite Party at Huntington Beach, you might consider a trip down the coast to the home of the Revolution in San Diego.

I found this article ( http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburgh...=rss&feed=6 ) which should be of interest to you concerning the area. The article even has a picture of a REV 1.5 flying at Seaport Village on San Diego Bay.

Thanks for the link John.Hope we get a day or so to run down the coast.Sounds pritty amazing and what a stack of money theyve been spending on the attractions. The water ride the guy discribes is a must i think.

If you are interested in the history of the city, I would suggest the Old Town Trolley trip and the bay trip. From this you can determine what else you might like to see.

The attraction I like the most is Sea World, terribly expensive, but really nice. This was the very first Sea World. It opened when I was serving in the Navy in San Diego. It sure has changed, in particular the price which was $3.00 then.

I never tried the water ride, thus I can't really comment on it.

We may go together. If there is time I would like to too. Would we be welcome at the factory - I imagined we would be in the way. As a composites freak I would love to see the way they wind the extrusions, excluding the secret bits of course.

I presume they would welcome you, however I would suggest you contact them in advance with your plans.

For the composite side both Joe and Dave Hadzicki are quite good in composites. Joe developed the machine for wrapping which he sold to a number of other companies in the golf shaft industry.
