New Kite Reports

Had a fly with the new set yesterday, firstly they do look stunning up in the blue.Realy standout...

I bet they looked cool in the air! I could kick myself for not getting a daytime photo of Ben/Now Rawveeda's all black 1.5 when I had the chance. The black looks verrrry badass in the sky! :ani_punk:

I'm sure as you get familiar with the Midvent, you'll find the perfect windspecs for it. I'm very anxious to try one as I bet I'll be adding that to my collection when I have money again. Sigh.

Flew the Aerovent over the weekend in light winds (at the beginning) with Race Rods and have to say that the kite is not happy under 7mph winds. Lots of work, but then again, I didn't have it made for light wind flying. I had to try tho, just to find out what this kite's range is.

Brian, it would be a great pleasure to give you one but it's very difficult to build (many many panels) and it takes a loooong time ...

Even if we don't look like, every FLIC has got a job ! :P;)

I am sure it [or "she" (for french people !! )] would be well nourrished !!!! :D

no worries aerochic the midvent will be waiting for when we meet again .. my other though was right., the race rods allowed the kite to go in lower winds but i did figured that it wouldnt make it below 7 mph .. how close was that??i still gotta have a go at that thing

:) I was always told/taught,never presume Sabine,so the sex i would leave up to your choice. It would offcourse then be a ,she, i much prefare a she in my hands,Unlike Sailor, whos for any port in a storm :P or so they say ;) .

Maybe i will get my hands on one some day Sabine :) .I can appreciate how difficult they will be to build and time consuming to make.Ther would be no problem though with any language barrier.I speak very fluent rev  .

Here's a solid black rev II that I did in my standard sail pattern back in, uh, '94 I think. The kite was built of icarex with the bias oriented differently on each panel so it would light up as it moved around in the sun. I love your Bs done this way. Exceedingly cool.

NEATO, Jeff! I'd love to see a pic of it in the sky. I bet the pattern looks great up there.

Whats the red one made from Jim,looks almost a rubber like finish, still cool, but an unusual shine and finish.

Red Light was made out of .5 oz ripstop Nylon back in the early '90s. It's designed to fly in very light winds. The half ounce Nylon is not really rubbery; that's just the sunlight reflecting off the material.

The wrinkles are caused by broadseaming, and fill out to create an airfoil by wind pressure.
