I would like to save several videos from Youtube and other locations to my hard drive. This is so I can share them with others, even when I do not have a internet connection. I use Firefox as my browser rather that Internet Explorer. It has many add-ons available. One that I use is "Download Helper". It allows for downloads of most videos from the internet, including from You Tube. Replay Media Capture Replay Video Capture Try them out before buying to see if this is what you want. They claim Windows 7 compatible. Anyone have suggestions on a how to do? Win7 itself does not have a tool to do this, but you can still use Firefox or whatever just like one could on XP or Vista. Grats on win7 btw. Grats on win7 btw. I've had the Release Candidate on my laptop for a long time now, it is awesome. I use mozilla firefox as a browser and use ant.com tool bar to get videos of almost any site be it flash or youtube content ... works really well and saves the file to any place you want to put them ... Im not sure weather windows 7 is compatible but im usin xp and it works great i got all Baressi's videos and yours Watty that you guys have posted ... great for learning on the field with a video player like a zen player or ipod .... thanx for posting those videos guys and thats all of you not just Baressi and Watty ... Took the laptop to work to show some coworkers some vids, they were amazed by iQuads Papa was a Rolling Stone video. They got a laugh when I called the videos "Kite Porn." For anyone wondering if Windows 7 is worth the upgrade, my vote is Yes! I would much rather work with my laptop with it than my Vista decapitated desktop......... Actually, it was quite excellent, until I downloaded some of Watty's Camas HD videos - they skipped and jumped. Then, I installed the Real video update a few weeks ago. It offers to download utube videos with a pop-up tab at the upper right of the video window. (Move the cursor above the upper right corner and see if you get the "Download Video" tab.) Painless, accurate, and what it converts the HD videos to works. Of course, read the Real terms of use to be sure it does not violate your sense of privacy. OTOH, you may already have it on your machine - position the cursor above the upper right of the video window and see if you do. The fine print: Works on both Windows XP and Vista, using FireFox. It would download the video in a .flv format though, and you would have to convert it to .wmv, .mp4 or whatever to put it on any portable device. I believe it come with any Windows XP system, but I don't seem to have it on my Win 7 machine, but that may just be because I am still using the RC testing version.
