0 JayNunes
My Indoor Rev lines are about 15 feet long.. In a 2 Story room.. It fits real well... It's the same Principal as outdoor flying... I teach Rev Flyers on 120' lines.. More Line.. More time to recover...
0 monkey
I tend to stick to 12 foot lines indoors usually, simply because it fits in most gyms I'm in, and thus, its consistent for my flying.
0 Morrunya
For indoors I use 5ft or 8ft lines. For outdoors, I will use 20ft. or 30ft. The length to use for indoors largely depends on the area you are given. Personally, I prefer very short lines, because it allows me to do more fancy 3D stuff. But others may prefer longer lines so they have a larger window. I dislike using anything longer that 20ft. when flying indoors, or outoors with zero wind because it takes up a lot of room, and it causes you to work harder to keep it up. Your line length depends on your perticular tastes.

Watty - can i just ask you've mentioned somewhere in another post about using sleeveless line with your indoor kites - is this personal preference or recommended? thanks Marty
0 jburka
In most conditions there's no point in using sleeving at all. The only linesets I have that are sleeved are premade; I pretty much stopped sleeving my lines back in '94. Heck, even my 1800# spectron isn't sleeved (though I'm definitely in the minority on that decision...) I would, however, recommend tying a Red Braswell knot at the end of the loops you use to larkshead your flying lines on to your kite/handles. This is basically an overhand knot about a 1/4" from the end of the larksheading loop; once the line is larksheaded onto the towpoint (or the pigtails on your handles), the little tab sticks out and gives you something to grab to loosen the larkshead and remove the line. I just didn't really see the point in sleeving them. It works just fine without them (I use the method that jburka just mentioned). However, I do prefer sleeved line sets. This is just because I think it looks nicer. Wither way is perfectly fine.
