torp
Hi all, I have just bought an EXP to learn four line kite flying. It didn't come with lines, but I already have a set which have a 150 pound breaking strain, 30 metres long (Dyneema) Would these be OK for the EXP is what I would like to know? Thanks,
0 Morrunya
These lines will be okay. They will feel a little heavy though. I would suggest getting a set of 90# line any where from 50 to 120 feet in length.
0 Baloo
One thing for sure, you would have to be going for it to break those with an EXP. If you get a decent wind they will be fine as Watty says.
0 fortflyer
Those should be OK, they may be a bit heavy in lighter wind but 30m 90' are plenty long enough. (the longer the lines the slower the response) lot easier to learn on. If you ever get the chance to pick up some 90 pound spectra (either Shanti or Laser Pro) I would defiantly not hesitate. Seeing as they are Dyneema lines my main concern would be that they are all the same length, I've used those before and they have a tendency to stretch. loop all 4 lines on a stake on the other end use another stake or a screw driver loop those on and pull them tight look for tight and or slack lines, you can stretch out the tighter lines to match the others, if you have one longer than the rest try tying a extra knot on the loop. Good Luck,
