Well, somebody suggested having a "slap the sticker on Ang without getting slapped" contest, but how about a "Pin the sticker on Angie" contest? We could addhear it to a tip of the kite and then make a large blown-up photo of me (okay,.....not that blown up), and then everybody could see how close they could get to my right or left butt cheek. Hahaha. Alright, that's the best I could come up with. hahaa.

The games were great though, I LOVED them!

Can we get a description of the games?

Basically there were 3 different games.

1). Slolum (or however you spell it) was a set of flexable poles set up with ping-pong balls on the tope of them and using the kite, you had to weave back and forth to knock the ping-pong balls off. MUCH harder than it looked, and a lot of fun.

2). Inverted race. You would basically race another person to the top of the window with your kite while being inverted (the kite that is). Then the winner of that would move on to then race the winner of another race. It continued like that until the semi-finals and the finals. If it was too close to call, they had a re-do and then if you flipped over, you were automatically out. It was SOOOOO much fun and I played that with a couple of people for the rest of the week.

3). Blind fold races. There were a set of cones set up about 9 ft. apart and that's where the kite started (between them). You were blindfolded and where able to have a spotter to help you and had to move your kite to the right of the cones and then land feet down, then all the way over to the left of the cones with feet down, then in the very center again. It was REALLY hard and really fun to watch.

THey were all REALLY fun and any skill level could join in because we were all just doing it to have fun.

Those games were very humbling indeed.

Ang is right, the slalom was much more difficult than it looked. And the blindfolded event made me feel absolutely inadequate. That said, practice practice practice!!!!

I kept thinking, well maybe if I was flying "my" kite instead of the Rev provided 1.5 (thx Ben), I'd be able to "feel" my way thru it. No such luck, I tried it later on and now find myself determined to work it.

All in all, Rev Games rocked!!!

Ant Man you might have to fly the new game blind folded............

I wondered if, space permitting, a 'downwind' race would work. From a ground start, in heats I guess, the flier who can get furthest downwind within a given time is the winner.

Thanks for the updates/info on the games. and pics!

We plan to have a Rev clinic on Sunday Here in Reno, NV complete with games ourselves.

We will play these games and also plan to do 'hops' and something easy, like inverted limbo :)

Rev Limbo sounds like it would be alot of fun! Hehehe! You have to have music for that. :kid_smartass:

I'm glad Slalom went over so well. I had fun with it, myself. Already working on new games! Wait'll you see "Vertigo"! woohoo!

:D

You have my interest!

I have a few games in mind for our Reno Rev Games on Sunday, but if I like your idea.. we can always add one more game to the list! Give up the scoop/your idea. ie 'vertigo'...

Suggestion for limbo music?

You could do "Limbo Rock" by either The Champs or Chubby Checker.

There are also 2 songs from Harry Belafonte that would work too: "Jump In The Line" or "The Banana Boat Song".

I'm also thinking Iko Iko or Hey Pockey Way would work. :blue-music:

Ha HA! I see Reno_Rever beat me to it. :D

Good idea Felix, just one problem. All the US mob would start to complain about not being able to drive downwind.

I've got another idea for Rev games. How about Simon Says with the kites. Wouldn't that be fun?! You could make a list of moves that we should know and then mix them up. Oh, and you could still use all the traditional ones like "hop on one foot" and stuff like that while you're flying. THAT could be very interesting.
