  1. Hi , everyone..I have a B2, a Rx and a spider. At the moment I seem to be using my Spider the most due to blustery winds. It Feels like the venting helps alot with stability and smoothness of flight.....since buying my Spider I've considered buying a single vented kite? Would there be much difference in flight because of the mesh? And size of venting? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi REVflyer Great to hear from you. I appreciate the information on your flying preferences. I was beginning to feel like I was doing something wrong ? The heavier lines on my spider give it an exceptionally smooth ride in blustery winds.A pleasure to fly.

Who doesn't like driving a Ferrari at what ever speed ? For about two and a half years I've flown my B2 on 15 meter 84 lbs line, NO problems and love it. EXPERIMENT and find what suits you best ....mix and match lines frames etc.... I have done exactly that . I have yet to hear from someone who writes Whooow what a crazy idea I must try that ? Have I expected to much from the www.revkites forum? I also fly my new Rev Spider with these lines and love it!

Hello again I think your missing my point totally? I've been lucky enough to fly my B2 for many hours 3-4 times a week over the last 2+ years l love it and have really enjoyed trying every possible combination of line adjustment and mixing frames etc. I was shocked and surprised just how much I loved the kites performance when using 130kg lines. Let me know what you think once you've tried it !

I'm flying in 2-14 mph blustery winds and I find it possible to apply the brakes more effectively when the kite doesn't shoot off at 0-60 mph in under a second! Instead I have a steady graduation at 0-10 and time to control it before it hits 60. I'm also using 20 meter lines due to space restrictions....(sorry I've just looked and there 130kg lines) Please anyone out there give it a try ! I'd love to hear from you.

Hi everyone. I'm not asking a question, more writing an observation...I purchased a Rev B2 some 2 years ago as my first revolution. I love it but always found it to be like driving a Ferrari in a traffic jam. I could not believe anyone could control a kite like John Barresi...It must be trick photography! I originally purchased cheep lines thinking it wouldn't make much difference? How wrong!! I recently flew the B2 with 150kg lines instead of 39kg "my word what a difference". I'm now driving a Mini Cooper round town with bags of control and a big grin on my face.
  8. I have a B2 I purchased 2/3 months ago and have fallen in love with it <3 Im contemplating buying spare rods/ lines so why not buy a new complete mid vent with rods etc :-)? My question is am I investing good money into an old system! Should I just buy a few spare rods etc or buy into a new system, reflex (xx..,, etc) in the hope I will learn to love it!
  9. My flying has been improving all the time..,, and Im love learning new skills....., but one thing that Im not good at is maintaining height when spinning slowly. I can drag the kite over to the left or right while it spins slowly but cannot gain height. I can maintain height because it spins fast!!! But any attempt to gain height buy pulling with the opposite hand sends the kite into an even faster spin! I hope this makes sense to the experienced flyers.

  11. Thanks for the advice makatakam. I've adjusted the brakes after reading advice on the forum... Moving them up to the first knot nearest the handles making them less sensitive?... With this advice and yours on slowly flying the kite downwards i was able/confident enough to make the kite glide inverted first to the left and then to the right..,!! I haven't smiled so much since I was s kid!
  12. I've been delighted to read all the information about rev's and flying them. What a superb forum :-) My own learning experience has been totally different from the one's I've read.....so perhaps people might find it interesting? Im 50 years old and was bitten by the kite bug at an early age, my interest soared when Peter Powell invented the 2 line kite and later in life at 48 i bought my first 4 line kite a striker 4.0. i was impressed with its size but disappointed with it's wind range! To much wind was dangerous for an old guy! So when I saw the revolution videos on utube i
  13. Hi Im Wiggle I live in the soulth of Sweden and Im new to Rev flying. I have a striker 4.0 with 4 lines and love it when the wind isnt to strong! I'm hoping for more flying time with my b2.
  14. Wow I love the colours and design. Are they revs?
