There are quite a few KAP folks on this forum and I thought it would be of interest to post something that those who use Brooks Leffler's BEAK might enjoy. The BEAK (Brooxes Electric AutoKAP) kit allows one to autoKAP with an Infrared (IR) triggered camera. The rig pans about 30 degrees, fires the shutter and keeps going until you bring it down or the batteries run out or your camera card fills up. To change the camera angle you have to bring the camera down and then send it back up. I wanted to add a tilt component to my rig so made some enquiries. I then set about designing my own BEAK with the tilt function. This video shows the PPT BEAK in action. Peanut Piston Tilt BEAK. Now you can get both panned and tilted shots in one KAP session. with special thanks to Jynx for helping me 'produce' this 'publication' below.
  2. I sorted through my KAP session and found a few Rev shots. A few are a wee bit grainy, cropped from a high overhead shot, but there you are in the picture!

    The Wow Factor

As I have said before and as others have noted, the Ninja Eye stack creates truly amazing shadow effects, this photograph is a great example of dancing shadows taken on my local beach.
  4. Sorry, Laura, that is a great shot but I just have to reply with this mystery shot? Why are the right wing tips ahead of the kite in front of it?
  5. Nice shot, Laura, can you top this one? (all puns intended of course) Peter
  6. Bazzer, Dean Jordan, Alden and Denny making aerial music.

Laura, I have had a vented Ninja for a while now and it is one of my most favourite kites to fly. I wanted to do a stack, noted that this is a Masterpiece series and did not know if I could purchase anymore. Bazzer had built some other kites for me, so I called him up. He liked the idea and told me to call Ben. The rest is an empty bank account but what a stack of kites I now have. The vision was mine but Bazzer worked with me to ensure a congruence and natural flow of colour in the stack. We connected well on this project and the results are outstanding. Vented eyes make incredible shadows........ Thanks for the accolades, Ben
  8. Revolution has only done a few Signature kites, both are referenced and noted in the first poem, if you read the leading edges of the poems you will find the hidden element referenced above. The 'stack' poem includes the history 'kite' as mentioned above and in the second 'kite' or stanza is noted what I think of the Revolution kite and its place in the world of kiting. If you are interested in how the title of the poem relates to my B Pro Suite read this. Tilt_Background.pdf
  9. The design of my B Pro Suite, with Bazzer's help, led me to musing and the creating of the history poem as posted above. I then worked on a 'stacked' poem with the second 'kite' dealing specifically with what I was trying to achieve with, and what I see when I fly my B Pro Suite. Both of these poems have a hidden element that leads one to understanding The Signature history of the Revolution and also how I look at the Revolution kite. TILT_2.pdf
  10. The accompanying verse was written based on material found on the Revolution web site, under Company, History. The link on that page to Kitelife's interview was also used as source material. The title of the poem comes from my B Pro Suite. TILT_H.pdf
  11. Thanks to all for the comments received on my Ninja stack. It is not complete yet, but this is as far as Bazzer and I have progressed, one kite is missing from the stack as seen here, it is a solid blue to go at the back, with more to come next year. I will answer each of your questions in turn of posting. I really like colour and wanted something dramatic, fortunately Bazzer was willing to work with me and my colour mixing. He did an incredible B Pro Suite for me as well. Baloo, how great to have an Englishman respond first. I do enjoy your comments on the Forum, and am particularly partial to your language and spelling, colours they are and not colors (no offense Rich!). I am going to be getting more Ninjas but am sure that Bazzer could squint up a kite or six for you if you ask. You are correct, the bright ones were backlit by the sun, really came out well and highlights the colours dramatically. quaa714 Rich I do believe .... the colours are. I too really like the shadows effect of the one photograph, not possible with anything other than a vented Ninja. Stack flies well, but I am still in the tuning phase and am adding another kite so it will be a 6 stack initially with more to come as noted above. Aerochic, thanks for the SWEET comment. I have looked at your galleries and love a lot of your photographs, perchance someday I will lay 'my eyes on you' and you can record some wondrous visuals for all to enjoy.
  12. I can finally post some pictures of my Bazzer Ninja Eyes. Kudos to Bazzer on incredible workmanship and to Ben for ensuring that Revolution kites catch the eyes of all that see them, shadowing the best that the kite world has to offer. Peter

Great pictures, Ben, I like the green at the ocean. How about some technical information, camera, KAP rig, Dopero kite? I took these with my EXP of a SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarder), HQ Hybrid and the setting sun. Peter
  14. Congratulations Sherri, great to have a local flier be the National Champion, well done Steve on getting the champion flying.
