Norm Barksby
So I bought my first Rev. I ended up buying one used on eBay. I got a supersonic I understand that it can be a more difficult one to learn on. I was wondering what pointers anyone would have. Thanks. It arrives today :-)
0 awindofchange
First pointer - purchase a bunch of extra leading edge spars. The Sonic is probably my favorite Rev to fly when the wind is right but not one that I would suggest learning on. It can be done, but you will most likely hit the ground a couple times while you do it.

0 DaveRev
Hi, this is David from Revolution. We have been using our simulator. You can rig a quick one up by running a line between the inside rods on back, put a washer on the line so it can slide back and forth. Off of the washer run about 15 feet of line that you can hook to something. If you set it up on the wind properly, you will be able to fly it and get a feel for it without it getting away from you. Let me know if this helps you out. Feel free to call us at the factory, always here to help. 858-679-5785 David Hadzicki Rev kites
0 Henri
Here is a picture of the simulator in actin at WSIKF. A very effective and safe setup. Notice the short lines, 10 to 15ft

Is it easier to handle that they could get an idea without having to fly on full length lines?
0 awindofchange
Yes, we had the one pictured above set up at WSKIF and we gave tons of lessons on it. It worked perfectly.

Could I hook this to a heavy duty pole or should it be something very stable?

0 portlandflyer
Tmadz - had to be on some sort of portable pole - no permanent poles in that area that I recall. SR - I'm guessing about 8-10"?
