Breezyduzzit
I know I haven't been on the forum long and this is my second topic. But been out for a fly this p.m. and my hovering Rev was accompanied by a Red Kite (the bird). No spare hands to take a pic but the thrill was massive. A moment when I wished I could get to my phone for a pic. I have no proof but it was magic. The bird seemed intrigued for a couple of mins. Then moved on. Awesome! Anyone else had an event like that? kwmf
I constantly get these guys - often in groups of 2 or 3... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow-billed_Kite (and they DO pack hunt the kite sometimes)
TerryB
Only the odd Herring Gull, who normally gets a bit of a shock when the Rev flies towards them. But the sky and wind is for us all! Take care Terry
johnnmitchell
I have run across many occasions with birds around my kites, primarily single line kites. I have seen hawks investigate them. I have seen geese fly into the lines, At night when we flew, the bats apparently were attacking the lines as you would fill the jolts but couldn't see them. Robtulloch
I've had to put my kite out of harms way a couple of times due to some magpies during breeding season.
makatakam
I love surprising geese that are heading over the parked kite by taking off right at them. Scares the daylights out of 'em. (i hate goose poop, and those that poop it)
