Felix
Over the last few weeks I have found that access to the site hangs frequently. Is anyone else seeing this?
Stephen
Occasionally seen hangs and time-outs here using both Firefox on win7 and also chrome on android. Cheers Stephen
makatakam
I use IE8 and Chrome, and have hung up a couple of times with both in the last two or three weeks.
kwmf
Depends on the connection .... I have the ability to switch between different types of connections which route differently and I can go from not working to funtional with the switch of a connection ... same machine/browsers. Right now things appear to be working for me, but shooting from the hip I would guess at a routing/DNS issue somewhere more than any kind of browser/OS issue
portlandflyer
Only problem I'm having is at "sign on" ! I have to click on "view new content" before I can sign in to the forum!
Jim Foster
Both my laptop (Firefox, WIFI to cable) and my iPhone (IOS 6.1.2, same WIFI to cable, or Verizon 3 or 4G) seem to work just fine every time, and sign in automatically. Seems to be no problem here.
Felix
Tuesday 12th March 20:15 UK time. In the last 1/2 hour Firefox and Safari access not available. NYT OK...
JynxKites
Glad someone began this stream... same problems on my end! (Both Rev and KiteLife sites).Sometimes no problem... other times I've attempted to log-in (numerous times) and no-go! (and no issues on any other site I visit) Today I contacted JB and informed him of the issues I was having.
johnnmitchell
I noticed some hangups a few weeks back but not in the last couple weeks. One thing I do different than most. I practically never log out and my computer is almost never shut down. However it does go into sleep if I don't access it for an hour. I run Windows 8 Professional and primarily use the latest version of Firefox(presently at 19.0.2) on both PC and Laptop
Felix
I was dropped again 19:30 local time here. Firefox etc etc but Apple, Google & NYT all OK. On this occassion I note that my user login was dropped as well... Not sure that has been the case previously! Felix
Felix
Dropped again 20:26, no login available...
Felix
20:45 - 20:50 refused login... Logged in again 22:35 still connected!
johnnmitchell
It seems more and more like a routing problem(doubtful on DNS) because some do not have the problem and other do have a problem. You could run a "tracert" command on a PC in a command window or "traceroute" on a MAC in a terminal window and see if there is any huge delay along the way. johnnmitchell
The PC command would be: "tracert revkites.com" The MAC(also Unix and Linux) command would be."traceroute revkites.com"
johnnmitchell
Well, it appears the server was down for over 12 hours, apparently due to a move from a message that appeared when I went to the site with my laptop. On my PC I had the message "OFFLINE" within the Header. It seems to be running well now. Why, we will let you know when we know.
