stickerman
thanks all, i have a question, what is the weak point of the rev 1.5sle? look at this: at that place, the tissue begins (already) to unravel.. due to the vibration of the wind (i think so) is this normal? What can I do to stop this? can i put a little piece of tape on? or, there is no danger, it does not go any further. (sorry for my bad english ^^)
katrina
Henri, no worries, it is only an aesthetic problem. It will not continue to unravel. I have two 2007 B series that have frayed like that, they work just fine. But if it bothers you, some people (very carefully) melt the fabric edge to get rid of those frayed bits. Incidentally, Bazzer folds the edges over on the b pros to avoid this issue.
stickerman
ha! ouf! i was i little in a worry... but ok now. thx Katrina.
mbro
Hi Henri, you got it in the air, nicely done & Michael
goestoeleven
Henri As Katrina said, fraying of the ends of the leading edge is very common, especially if the kite drags sideways across the ground. One thing you can do is use a soldering iron or hot knife to melt the fabric to seal the fraying of the edges. If you are very careful, you can use a match or a lighter, but I do not like having open flame next to the fabric of my kites . . . the fabric will burn if you are not careful, and then you will have a much worse problem than a little fraying. stickerman
haaa, perfect, 1000 thanks for that tips, i have a soldering iron! i will try (with great caution, nonetheless)
Bri
Congrats Henri, looks like you had a great time! Good you had your helper there to make sure your kite didn't fly away by itself. Welcome to the obsession...
