This is quite deeply saddening to learn the loss of our great friend.

I had personally met Jørgen just over 20 years ago in Nordeney, Germany.

A couple years later he gave me my first graphic design training in Vienna, Austria.

Since then, I had met him several times in Fano, Denmark.

Please extend my sympathy to his family.

  • 2 weeks later...

Never met him in person.

Seen his beautifull kites many times...very very nice.

I have been reading the stories on Drachenfoundation and am sure the kiteworld lost a special person 002_sad.gif

My thoughts go out to his family, friends and the kitefamily.

May the windforce be with him.

We flew on Blackheath today and the conditions were just perfect momentarily to launch the big Rok.

Tears now... what a star!

Jørgen taught us that careful management was critical with the larger kites but most importantly if you had your hands on all of the bridle lines then everything would be easy.

With a four line kite you have your hands on the bridle lines.

Good to see his Rok design flying - lets make a point of showing it to Jørgen's spirit every time the Decs get together. Cheers Jørgen

That will be the Gammel Dansk taken from a 35mm film canister (carefully washed) of course...

Best wishes

Felix
