lamrith
I just noticed one of the spars on the rev SLE I bought is starting to delaminate? The clear coating seems to be unwrapping. What is the best way to fix this? Would crazy glue work? I

johnnmitchell
The rods do not, to my knowledge, have a lamination. That looks like the cellophane wrap which is normally removed after rods come out of the oven. Call Lolly or Ben and verify this.
awindofchange
Just pull it off. It is the clear plastic wrap that is wrapped around the rod while the rod is baked in the oven. This wrap is removed after the rod has been processed. It appears that you have a small remnant of the clear wrap left on the rod that was not completely removed. This wrap has nothing to do with the structural integrity of the rod, removing it will not cause any harm or damage at all. The rods are built using a large sheet of carbon fiber that is rolled around a mandrel. Once baked and cured, the rod can not de-laminate.
