We will have at least two members of the Flying Squad to help with coaching. Everyone will be welcome. For anyone wanting accomodation we have secured a special deal though the camanile Hotel at Washington. Rooms will be available at £25 per room booked through our club. fliers will need insurance. if they don't have any they can join the club for £8 per household and will then be insured through the club for the event. We are also aiming to have an informal buffet and social gathering with activities on the Saturday evening if people are interested. (There will be a small charge for the buffet) The North East is easy to get to. With good motorway access and we have trains, airports and even ferrys (for our European cousins). Hi Vince, The Decs may be able to rustle up a few fliers. Not sure if we are up to coaching but as with the Ainsdale event may be able to contribute numbers wise. It would give an opportunity for the Scottish and Manchester contingent to get to fly before the main season kicks in. <grins> (just in case they are watching) Felix

Stephen Hoath
This is going to be a great event and i am really looking forward to it. The flying site from what i understand is very large, grassed and with a great view (picutre courtesy of Choccy) The hotel is the one used for the kite festival so the staff are used to kite fliers and indeed one of them is a Rev pilot himself. I am sure a warm welcome is guaranteed. Hot on the heels of the great event in Ainsdale, it might be a good place to have a go at "Grid" flying if you have never tried before. So, sign up and come and enjoy the fun. See you all there.

Vince
Thats great news Bri. we look forward to welcoming you up North mate. It could be interesting to have the Eden project next to Penshaw with the monument behind Keith you will be most welcome we look forward to sharing the skies. Its a shame you can't make it Dave. After your performance at Ainsdale your voice might be a little horse but the show must go on, and you did a great job at ainsdale. It would be interesting to know what part are you playing. Many years ago I went to a panto in Cornwall...........I'm sure one of them was called Jethro or something, anyway it was good, It was very good. Vince
I think we can spare a few acres Bri. The only stipulation is the size of the pegs - they can't be longer than a foot in case they hit the drainage tubes they have just laid. <>

I am waiting to hear from the Manchester flier who sadly did not make it to Ainsdale. David has already posted. I will report back asap.
