johnnmitchell
Bazzer - Question? Will the race frame ends fit into the Zen center? Already have a race frame for my Rev 1, Just looking at possibilities for the future!! :kid_smartass: All REV I rods using inner ferrules are interchangeable with each other including the ZEN rods. The older REV I rods that use outer ferrules(about 1992 and earlier), should be kept together because the outer diameters of the rod is critical. This meaning newer rods sometimes do not fit into the outer ferrule because the outer diameter is too large.
fungus
so you develop and market the Zen, then tell us its better with another frame . its like buying a Ford and being told its better with a BMW engine fungus [/quote having said the above i love my ZEN yesterday i realised the wind was low so had a 2 hour session at local park the wind speed was that low it didn't even register on my high tech/highly accurate wind speed meter ( wet finger in the air ) set up Zen with 50lb x 50 ft lines , i'm learning to fly the Zen, its a different feel to 1.5 and B that i'm used to and it was very satisifying. along side i set up my Tim Benson Innerspace ( i know 2 lines ) on 50lb x 75ft lines, at times i pumped the lines to keep airborne and the Zen kept up in same airspeed, the Innerspace is a definate low wind performer ( to my mind a good test/comparison ) both flew well. I tried the Zen on 50lb x 100ft lines and struggled. i realised the wind speed was building ( 2-4) according to my wind meter and switched to B for 20 min , and i think what i've learned flying the Zen helps and the B was fantastic. fungus 'flatfoot' owner of Zen with Zen frame and a Black Ford
