Keithgrif
Yuk! And I only have a 1.5 UL (plus some 'std' sticks), but certainly not a vented. Won't stop me being there though, train tickets booked.

We may be able to find a 'spare' vented... <grins> However, we might not have a comprehensive stock of mega vented kites. The ones with LE and down spars 'only' are looking appropriate. Who needs a kite sail? Felix

Up Early pal, good morning to ya all I admire your PMA my freinds from the north,,,,, Doesnt the word,Gathering bring images of Mel Gibson in a kilt. I think I may have to ask the wife for extra pocket money this week it look like I will be getting through a lot of lemonade.

I was thinking of getting out the second set of waterproof kit and boots 'just in case'. I hope that David remembers the mega vented kites. Can we fly out of the tent? david ellison
150 lb lines and mega vented kites were fine in 40mph last Saturday - but that was in the soft south (west) - we'll have to see if they manage as well in the dark north
Stone in Shoe Bob
Can we fly out of the tent? I was thinking maybe stick practice in the pub, but I haven’t got a stick, or a routine to practice, come to that. I've got a new toy to sharpen the reflexes though. Quite! We live in hope... However, weather forecasts change, so we travel. Absolutely, expect the best, but prepare for the worst. Oh and anything but Boddington's, even yellow beer. andelscott
Sadly I can't make it this weekend.. but I have checked out the weather forecast and oh dear.... 60mph winds and heavy rain!!! Weather.com has it down as a great weekend for washing kites (winds between 20-25mph) as does BBC weather. Metcheck suggests Sunday for blow drying (apart from the issue of more rain, of course). I'm with Bri - looking for the seaside/beach micro-climate. Then again, anyone know of a large (warm) gymnasium near Southport with 30+ indoor Revs for loan?
