... What do you think?

UKTotty,

Welcome to the forum and to Rev flying.

I must comment on your picture taking. Generally Rev pictures are taken of the backside of the fliers and the frontside of the kites. You seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot.

Cheers,

Tom

Hi UKTotty,

Great to see them out and echoing Jeff's note, let's see them in the air soon huh!

As for what you have, to confirm you have a R/W/B 1.5 SLE and you have a Red/Black/White 1.5 standard. The 1.5 just pre-dates the SLE and EXP naming conventions and is just a 1.5

Hope that helps.

Mark

Why are they on the ground? ;) Happy flying!

Very nice classic Rev kites!

Some history on your two new REVs.

The Red-Black-White is the original REV 1.5. As is, it was made from 1995 through 1997. The same panel layout continued into 1998 however the logo was changed to the present straight logo. Standard it was delivered with the 3 wrap Ultra light rods.

The red-white-blue is a later REV 1.5 version. This version was made in 2000 and 2001. It was available in the SLE and SUL version, however both say SLE on the sail. The SLE had the Super Leading Edge(SLE) which is about 3/8" diameter. Normally the Ultra Light SLE 3 wrap rod set was delivered. The SUL usually had a lighter sail and bridle with rods labeled "For Professional Use Only". These rods are 2 wrap rods.

They are made for flying. Enjoy them.
