Robert
This was in the New York Post today.....http://www.nypost.com/seven/11122008/news/...nter_138267.htm Nice one. The kite surfers often get the dolphins, to get the wales they usually have to go a bit further out than they usually do - but their faces tell it all when they get in Rob
AdventureAng
Never thought of mounting the camera to the kite for kitesurfing. What a sweet way to get pictures of yourself when nobody else is around to take them. That's a really cool shot to and such an experience to get that close to a whale and live to tell it. I had a link to some amazing kite-mounted video of kitesurfing where the video is constantly reorientated so that the picture is always the right way up (if you see what I mean) - so you never got that vomit-inducing feeling. But I can't find it now... Ant

Aerochic
Eeeeeek! WHOA! I'm sure glad the guy (and whale) didn't get hurt. Kinda funny that the whale tapped him on the head tho. :? Here's another story about a kitesurfer and a pod of Orca! Geez! Busy waters this week... http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/4757556a11.html

Felix
Hi Felix...I agree, it's a great shot! Well done! Hi Laura, It was at Knokke in Belgium one year. I do not know who the photographer was. There are a couple more shots at http://www.felixmottram.com/ Felix
rcom714
There are a couple more shots at http://www.felixmottram.com/ Felix Felix, Those are some great photos. In particular I really like those that kind of represent the human body and the windmills, all relying on the lines of the kites below and above them to give them their form. The lines are an aid but actually the fliers have to hold their hover! Felix
