Assuming we're not the only ones staying after the Kite Festival....
Anyone up for a social / meal on the Sunday night before the clinic starts?
At this stage, I'm not sure what is available and affordable nearby but there's time to find out...
Andy,
my wife and me would love to meet up and go out for food and drinks.

What do folks use for travel when it is necessary to check your kites under the plane?
I've looked into fishing rod cases but was wondering what the "experienced" Rev traveller uses when carrying on is not allowed.
I have been using the Rev Kite bag on serveral trips to and from the USA whitout any problems. Make sure you get your kite bag labled as Fragile so they handle it with some care.

I'm currently going through the photographs and movie files from the festival last weekend.
Wow: MEGATEAM rainbow *burst* is really great
Will upload photos soon... the non rev ones will appear over on the kitelife gallery as usual.
P.S. most played track today has to be "At the River"
Choccy,
It was great meeting you all, this weekend has been a blast for me, my first time flying in team.
I learned a lot, a great motivation boost, it seems my wife is considering flying rev's to
So who know next we meet we could fly with 4.
We will come to the Bristol Festival end august and if I can clear my work calendar we should be able to hop over the channel to go to Portsmouth for a day also
looking forward to meet you all again

Yeap, my 2 BS have blue bridles. They're bit thinner than before and I noticed some cracks on the outside layer already !!!! I wonder about its durability???
Cheers
Mario
I'm having similar issues with the bridles on my 1.5 B's ( vented and standard ). I doesn't seems to influence the kite so I dont worry about it.
I did got replacement bridles from the shop where I bought the kites with out any problems.
Still need to figure out how to attach the new bridles

They do read and they do take note be patient
I've been buying my 2 B series directly in the US, well you do have to pay taxes ( dollar euro rate make up for that somehow) and I takes a litle bit longer, and some one should go and explain Customs over here that a rev 1.5 is not "A non-motorized model plane", but besides that I had no problems.
Good winds,

So sorry to hear that Amy, I hope you get your kites back in good shape.
I will keep an eye out on the european forums and sites for you.

I saw my first Rev in a local kiteshop in may this year , It was attached to the ceiling next to all kinds of 2 liners and powerkites, when I went in the shop to buy a kite for my daughter. The shape did get my attention, and 20 min later I left with my first Rev I. A few week laters I wachted the Crazy Drivers at the kite festival in Ostend. That realy showed me the posibilities of the kite and made me go out more and more to fly. Now 5 months later I'm the proud owner of a rev 1.5 B std and a rev 1.5 B vented and spend most (all) of my free time flying if the weather allows it.

you can add a 2006 Rev I SLE and 2 Rev 1.5 B (std + vented)

From comments on the forum and chatting to some guys around the circuit this year it seems that there is need/want for an opportunity for all us rev pilots to get together and for those of us with a little more experience (or just different experience) to share some of the knowledge around.
I would be prepared to be involved in such a venture (I may be able to persuade some others in the team) but would be interested to know if there really is demand for such a weekend.
Whilst team flying is my main focus I envisage that there may be some individuals who want to pick up some tips as well. If this happens it would be an informal affair at a suitable location. We have some fabulous beaches in the UK and so I was considering somewhere on the west coast around the middle of the UK such as ainsdale beach (near southport).
So, my questions to you all are:
-
Is there any demand for such an event (1 day or weekend) ?If so, where should it be held? What do people want to know?
Let me know and we can try and arrange something.
This sounds like a great idea, as a newbie it would be great to be able to learn from real people.
I would not mind to leave the continent and come over to the UK.
Good Winds,
John

Hey peeps,
I'm crossing the big ocean ones again, this time to attend a conference in Orlando for a week.
I'm planning to pack and bring my rev's along, so if I get bored attending courses I could go for some kite fun.
Since It's my first trip to Orlando, does any of you know any good area's to fly kites ?
I'm staying in a hotel near the Convention Center, so any good place the fly my revs near would be great.
Thanks in Advance
