  1. Latest test results!! Flew Sunday at Graylands beach, Wa , the wind got up to 20+ and we lost a race rod. It finally broke in the center of the middle leading edge spar. So now I know they are not indescructable!! Replaced the leading edge with a SLE and kept flying till it started raining. WET w/ sand Yuck! Memories of WSIKF. :blue_wink: see ya @ up your wind this weekend and Whidbey later in the month. Steven

  2. Just gave my new race rev spars the ultimate test. Spent last week with my b-series vented kite with new race spars letting anyone & everyone test drive the kite and learning to fly! The newbies crashed into everything they could and smacked the ground pretty hard at all angles until they could keep the kite airborne and after five days I never suffered a loss of equipment and actually helped about 25 or more people learn to fly. The kites performed flawlessly and everyone enjoyed the way they felt (imagine learning to fly with a b series and race rods!) :kid_content: A very rewarding experience and I thank Ben and Revolution for giving me the opportunity to share with others. Race rods rock! I flew them in all conditions from 20+ winds to as light as possible without a complaint in standard & vented kites. I may never fly anything else.

  3. I don't know how much my sails weigh....... I don't know how much my spars weigh and I dont know lenghts or widths or any of the other technical stuff that makes my kite fly. I don't even have a second hand on my watch!!! I do know that when my handles do this .... or that ....... it makes my kite fly and gives me enjoyment. Carry on family. :D

  4. Wind is wind Lutinplunder it comes and goes , thats the nature of the beast! I had the opportunity to fly today on 30' lines at Hood canal after I got off work and it was very windy but always good. The wind always seems best when you cant fly & goes away whenever i set up my kite. Persevere and you'll get your kite fix, I carry at least one kite with me always(just in case). This coming weekend I'm looking forward to flying at Vanier Park in Vancouver & my next few weekends are planned too. There are many fun flys in our area Lutinplunder (ocean shores , graylands, marysville,Whidbey island) so try to plan around that, it's more fun with others. Email me at [email protected] if you want more local info. Steven

  5. Just wanted to introduce myself, bought a Rev 1.5 SLE over memorial day weekend from Cutting Edge Ktes in Ocean Shores, flew it for 2 days in great winds on the beach. Wishing I had bought a 1.5 B... maybe I can talk the wife into taking the SLE and letting me get a Barresi (sp?). Anyway I live in Tacoma and want to know if there are any local fliers around who know of some good places to fly, that aren't a 2 hour drive like Ocean Shores (wife says I need to stop going there as I keep coming back with kites :P ). I unfortunately work swings so all I can usually do is watch the wind from my shop, never any good wind before 1pm when I have to go to work.

I live near Puyallup and I have had luck finding wind at the Tacoma waterfront at times. It really depends on direction of the wind and the proximity to the water. Vassault park on N. Pearl has some good winds and Ft. Steilicom Park is sometimes good also. All in all nothing is quite as good as the ocean beaches, We like to go to Graylands/Westport area. Let me know where you find to fly and maybe Ill see you there Steven

  6. Hi!

Nope...have it in stock, and will keep getting it in stock, in fact more on the way right now.

Laser Pro is there for us! HUGE supporter and Sponsor of LPG fly line for iQuad! :)

We proudly fly the Laser Pro banner!

    Theresa

Ok Theresa, so how do I contact you and your source of bulk 90# Spectra?

  7. So the winds seems to have been pretty good the past few days in San Diego. I bought my 4th Rev on Saturday. (*note* i've only been flyign for abIout 3 months) I picked up a Red White and Blue Supersonic . What a blast i had with it today, I wish I had some neat pictures to share but I just have some of me flying it and one of the kite in the sky. Although jumping onto my brother's 1.5 made me wonder if his kite was broken because it was moving so slow. Anyway anyone have any suggestions or comments on what i can and shouldn't do with it? It seems zipping around my brother's lines is a bit of a bad idea since it freaks him out. Is 90# line fine? Is there a point I absolutely should switch to 150#?

Jon , you are so hooked. I told you it would happen! lmao Keep buyin' & keep flyin'! I love my SS in a stiff wind or even when its a bit soft ( had mine out last weekend in a 17+ wind. WOW! the noises it makes!) I usually only fly with 90# lines and have never had a problem. Ant has the right idea though , try the vented, fast and less pull. I don't know when I'll be back but someday I'll show up on the field. See you then. Steven

  8. I was recently looking for bulk Laser pro gold online and became aware from one site that Laser pro gold may become harder & harder to aquire. I looked further and now I am confused by the many other premium Spectra products and need some opinions from others. I found Spectra 2000, Laser pro, Blue line, Spectra 1000, and WSK Premium Spectra. I would like the family to comment on each of these products as all I have ever flown was Laser pro, or if there are other products that I have missed that you can tell me about. Keep flying , St.even.

  9. Just taking a reading. ;)

After voting, please tell us about your experiences!

I initially was in the market for a vented Rev 1.5 when I heard about the B-series kites in January and bit my tongue until I finally saw them for sale online and immediatly ordered mine. I was impressed with the versatility from the multiple frames offered and had already heard that the sail was an improvement. After flying my kite I have realized that it serves about 90% of my needs, even the vented kite flies in very little wind, but I still may get a standard B-series to complete my needs. All in all this is the most widely used of all my Revs, I couldn't be happier. St.Even p.s. It's great for teaching too!

  10. I had the opportunity to teach 3 people to fly revs this past Saturday at Grayland Beach,Wa and it was a great success. My son, his girlfriend and my 9 yr old granddaughter all learned in a 15+ mph wind with my vented B-series and vented Rev I. What a great day for flying. My son has his Vented B-series on order already from GWTW kites. My grand daughter suprised me the most and by the end of the session she was flying and dancing (she really got into it). Wait till you see her at WSIKF (John, she's the one you were messing with in the tulips). I can't wait till we get to fly again and I have more people lined up for a lesson. I will teach the world to fly, one kite at a time! St.Even

  11. Can see most fliers here prefer the 1.5 SLE vented or not vented overall, my favourite Revs will be the 1.5SLE, but have yet to try out the B-Series soon.

I even went buggying flying just an 1.5 and when I stacked another, all hell broke loose, I was cruising down the Kuantan Baserah beach, it was awesome, winds started in the morning and picking till all day and night, we totally forgotten to have our lunch till dinner at 8pm.

    Cheers,

    chris

Thats a common problem Chris. I've noticed many people forget to eat ,drink or put on sunscreen when they start flying. It's just tough to stop!

  12. Latest version, added "Dosey-Do" and "1x2x1"... Thanks Mike!

    Revolution_Mega_Fly_Figures_v1d.pdf

So........ everytime there is another change I need to reprint the whole manual?? For those of us that are computer challenged is there a way to only have to print the changed page? Possibly an addendum to the original that can just be added to the end of the manual? Otherwise , AWESOME! I'm already printing my third manual lol

  13. I just printed my version of the team manual and I'm very impressed. Thank you guys! Now I'll be able to tell whats going on. Taught my son , his girlfriend and my 9 yr old grand daughter to fly yesterday at Graylands beach on the Washington coast and it was awesome. Everyone needs to teach someone to fly to keep this thing growing and thriving .See ya flying , St.Even p.s. John & I-Quad , the tulip fields were amazing. I saw the video and could imagine being on the kite for a ride. Keep up the good stuff. Steven

  14. Jonathan, Ive been watching your kite quest unfold over the last few days and I recognized the enthusiasm! I'm glad you finally get to unleash some of that energy flying. As long as the invitations are being tossed about, I & mine will be at Grayland beach, WA this Saturday and welcome anyone who is in the area to stop by. Look for the Pteradactyls & Revs! St.Even

  15. The biggest help for me is flying with others, shoulder to shoulder, following and interacting. The more the merrier and it improves your timing and skills in general. It gives you a sort of reference point. Try to hone those fine control skills too when you take a break from zooming all over the sky!

  16. I recently flew with 3 kites and there was no problem treating them as carry ons. I had all of them in one bag. At most they may have you check them at the gate like a stoller and you get them back as you de-plane.
