People have been asking now that iQuad is not traveling as a team what will happen well
"Family" heres what we are doing......
News, news, news!
As most of you know, iQuad has stepped off the circuit for a rest after many years of pleasing crowds the world over, and after putting up with me for more years than they want to admit. With that said, my personal email has been burning up with questions on who will “Revolution” work with now as far as events and what not. Well for me that was a no brainer—the team that we will be recommending is 180Go!
There are many reasons I say this. 180Go! is not so much a new team (2007) or the best in the world (yet), but what they do is what we here like to see, and that is sharing their love of kiting with others in the form of teaching others and sharing info and skills with no strings attached. Also Mike Kory has been a member of iQuad himself and has always been a huge supporter of “Revolution Kites.”
What has always struck me with this group is the fact that they are both friends and family. What I also like is that the team’s ages are so well ranged—20s, 30s, 40s, 50s. This lets them speak to just about anyone in the crowd.
I’ve worked with this team in many places in the USA and Canada, so I have had the privilege to view the dynamics of this team, and the dynamics they bring to the table are amazing. So it’s with total trust and my knowledge of what helps an event work that I’d like to announce that team “180Go!” is “Revolution Kites” go-to team for events and outside shows.

I've worked with 180Go since there beginning and have always respected them as a team
and even more importantly as my friends now with iQuad resting I needed a work horse and
a group that gave me what I needed..... So guys I know you thought you'd get all the glamor of being "The Revolution Team" what you really get is me , see along with all the
flying you are now in charge of ME......... Just ask iQuad how that works , anyway
guys welcome to the inside and thanks now and always for all you do and have done glad
to have you on the team....... Ben

Well after a lot of testing and some final tweaks the "New York Minute" and all it's brothers are being sewn....... This will be 4 kite quiver which means you will have a,
1. standard sail
2. 20% vent / perfect for bumpy light winds *3 to 6 mph*
3. 42% vent (9% over a midvent) / *6 to 10 mph*
3. 70% vent (between a full vent and extra vent) HIGH WIND
Each of these kites will come standard with "Green Race Rods" which is what I have been
using in my kites for ages.....
This is a "Ben" design so its from a flier to fliers and to me one of the best set of kites we here
have done.... As the kites come in I will add photos but with that said lets get this party
started with a one week deal of $50.00 off your first order of two of any of the above designs and if your willing to get all four I will throw in some other sweet goodies......

There can be a few grams difference in the make up of the carbon fiber weights at times but never that bad because in everything manufacturing theres is a plus and minus and I have to say personally a gram or two does not effect me very much...... What does effect me is reflex which is the speed of that rod bent to a certain angles and how fast it
comes back to straight...... Also the amount of stiffness that the rod generates over the entire sail, if all your looking for is a weight thing these may not be the rods for you, now if you are looking for a fast snap, rugged, and still stiff rod then these "Diamond Rods" are great, also on a side note "Race Rods" are heavier here RIGHT now I just compared 10 of each and all the "Diamond Rods" were a bit heavier than all the "Race Rods"....... Do me a favor fly them for awhile and come back to me on a private PM or call me direct at 619-750-8770 and lets talk cause I think your missing the boat on these amazing rods and what they can do, as always I want you happy...... I've got my flight and room booked, and even the wife is coming.
Sorry that we wont be seeing Ben, but it'll be nice to fly with David.
As far as the chicken dance, it will be hard for TI to beat Kites Over Lake Michigan:

UPDATE
This Saturday I had a chance to do some flying in 1mph wind and 50 ft. lines and what a dream come true, I wasn't
doing the normal float motion as much and was able to mostly stay in one spot...... So for me and in those conditions it was a dream come true..... So the score is "Diamond Rods" by a million cause it really worked out
well, I love it when a plan comes together...... Ben

Sorry, I'm a little confused. Do I have to buy from you in person to get the sale price, or just say the phrase that pays when I order?
I covet these rods.
Just call the factory..... Ben (858-679-5785)

At the present it's 1.5 size but we have the ability to make them up for rev2's just need to remake them and rewrap
the ends..... It's not about just cutting them to size it will have to be remade...... Ben

Well it's official the "Diamond Shafts" are in production here at Revolution, all the stickers are
here, the graphite is bought, and the first major batch is coming out the oven, so it's a GO......
With all that said they are not going to be cheap but they are one of the best rods we have ever made, they are light, stiff, and the reflex is out of this world..... {my original post
on these can see seen at "The Diamond Shaft" on the forum} What Im going to do is get my
butt handed to me but "oh well", for the introductory price of $99.00 you to can have a set of the newest addition to the "Revolution" product line, this is a savings of over $40.00 and as always this is a direst sell item from me, which means you have to say (Bens sale oh boy) I love this job...... Ya this is a sale price and can only be had by saying (Bens sale oh boy),
I do have issues..... Ben keeper of the madness
Sale price is only good till the end of Oct.

Fall Fly at TI: New this year to the Eastern League schedule is the Fall Fly at TI! Come join us on October 19-20th, 2013 in Treasure Island, FL for two days of kite flying & competition. This new event is especially geared toward novice competitors and is a great opportunity to get your feet wet with competitive kite flying. All novice flyers will be paired up with an experienced- or masters-class flyer for one on one instruction. But Fall Fly isn't JUST about competition -- Carl "Gumby" Anderson is going to be on hand teaching how to fly Fighter Kites, there will be plenty of room for flying giant inflatable kites, and after the sun sets over the Gulf, the night sky will be filled with illuminated kites of all kinds. The Fall Fly at TI isn’t just about Sport Kites, however . ALL KITE FLYERS are encouraged and welcome to attend. Bring big kites, small kites, kite aerial photography (KAP) rigs, bring your single line kites, bring your revs, bring your sport kites, bring banners and ground displays; there’s a place for everyone at The Fall Fly at TI!!
Treasure Island is one of the best places to fly on the East Coast, with huge white sandy beaches, consistent winds and stunning sunsets. Treasure Island beaches are perfectly suited for night kite flying, so bring your illuminated kites as well and lets light up the night sky! For more information contact WINDWORKS at 727-320-9463 or email [email protected].
The proceeds from the festival will go to the Secrets of The Sea Marine Exploration Center and Aquarium. Sometimes it not about the journey but more about the people you meet along the way, this
video is just that not so much the journey but the people....
You know there's so many of you that I need to thank but what I'll do rather than running thru all of you I'll just say "thank
God for putting each of you in my life"...... Each of you have been there for me, believed in me when I did'nt believe in myself, and mostly just held my hand thru it all..... Ya the journey has been unreal but more importantly it's been about all of you...... I really do love you guys and I'm so thankful for having you my "Family" in my life so remember where ever this journey takes you remember you take a part of me and I will always have a part of you...... Another try wil the diamond shafts for 2 1/2 hours, full sail, 50 lbs LPG,......wind 0,5 - 3 mph.. Superb, dream flight.
Well said, superb, dream flight.......... Ben
-
Got to teat Watty's and I found they start to distort a bit in the 1.5 over 4 mph, but these rods are SWEET for light wind and oh, SO, so light... TK and I can't wait to get some for ourselves.
Total wind range where I feel these rods will shine is from about 1 to 4 mph with no more than 6 mph, plus I think alot has to do with the fliers style...... Also remember it's like any other tool which means to me that I have many
different tools in my tool box but this one just does the job the best...... For me I'm not trying to reinvent the
wheel just give in some more tread to help me out of the mud...... All in all I still believe these rods respond very
well and are very tough given there size and weight, all I can really say is give them a try and see if they fit your
style of flying....... Ben

They are very light but I really like them on short lines and LOW winds...... Ben
