  1. Didn't happen, Chris wasn't at Rougham. And they would be flying as Evolver anyway.

As I understand it they were only going to do multi-line team because someone from TFS said they would be competing in team this year.

The site was so big I needed binoculars to see the rev flyers, don't think any of them made it as far as the STACK arena.

Keith, if you can find out which one of us said we would compete i can arrange for them to be shot at dawn! They'll be wanting to make decisions about music choice next!

  2. Not sure what a Noitu is, but I am sure I must be a lover of them.

Do a search, you will see that Noitu Love is a cool game you can play, well suppose it looks cool, I have never played it. :)

Noitu is a less well known Japanese seaweed used for making Sushi, therefore all Rev fliers love eating Sushi. :kid_content:

  3. Does every attempt at WSIKF need to be 10 x 10 or can we work towards that? Frankly 10 x 10 scares the censored.gif out of me. I don't know why.

The really big grids are impressive but smaller ones can be more fun. With Jon's blessings we should be able to put up some smaller ones during the event to ease people into the whole thing and to try some of the more interesting moves that are buzzing round in my head.

There should be several of us there who have called in these situations and other very experienced team callers who would have no problems at all once they get a go at it. Who knows we may be able to put up 2 or 3 grids in one go.

The only problem you might have is understanding proper English rather than that funny dialect you have over there in the colonies!

  4. Those are all fantastic. The possibilities are limitless Does anyone in the States have one? What was the aprox. cost after dollar conversions and shipping etc.confused_1.gif

I think you have to go via Rev direct if you want something like this in the States. However, Mr Gomberg recently had a very nice custom one made for him on his site. There is a link here somewhere, i am sure someone can point us in the right direction.

  5. Hi all, just got back from a great weekend in the grim North. Thanks all for making it such a fun weekend.

To Vince and the team, my hat goes off to you for all the work you put into hosting this weekend. The site is great and the facilities much appreciated as were the catering staff! Please pass on my thanks to all those who worked so hard to make the now "legendary" soup and the Corned Beef pie.

I really enjoyed all the flying we did. Whilst very light winds are not great for quickly learning new moves and ideas i think we still covered a lot of ground with the light wind flying. (pun intended)

I have some photo's i will post later but for now, many thanks to you all for sharing your time.

  6. I was just looking at my friends web site www.esste.com and saw this WOW, they didn't tell me about those.

It looks like the deal is just for Europe though.

I can't decide which one i like best, i really like the Geisha girl but that Waves one is nice too, still there's always the Psycho one. Do i really need another kite anyway (who said that?)

    What do you think?

  7. Thanks for the information Keith.

If you have not seen a competition before or want to try but don't know where to start i would highly recommend going along to see one of these. It can be a little daunting to start of with but there are plenty of people who will be more than happy to fill you in on the mysteries of Sport Kite Competition.

A lot of us started off with competition and i for one have benefited hugely from competition. Keith, can you point us in the direction of the STACK web site and let us know what benefits there are to joining STACK?

  8. Bob I really enjoyed reading your posts, yes all of it! I had no idea you would take the idea to heart and put in so much work. For which thank you.

For those thinking about flying in a mega team it's well worth the read. As a "team leader" i have found this useful and an important reminder that the best team is as strong as it's individual parts. Each part is as important as the other.

My favourite quote - "Then there are the regular calls of “back to grid”. That call is a sort of emotional tea break and an opportunity for a bit of mental regrouping."

  9. In the snow?

I don't know, I can't see it. My tractor is stuck halfway down the driveway and it's supposed to keep snowing until tonight...

I like that colour best, I always thought it the best choice for the Cooper :kid_smartass: Now if that was England we would be declaring a National Emergency by now.
