BookBoy
After flying my Revs for a little while now, I have a couple of broken spars lying around the house. While part of me wants to throw them out as part of a decluttering exercise, the hoarder part of me thinks they must be useful for something. What do you all do with broken spars? Does anyone have any creative uses for them? Jonathan
Robtulloch
Dust masks on... I've put an angled cut on the tip on some, then a liberal coat of 2 part epoxy on the ends and use them as a "travel stake". BookBoy
Oh, good idea. With a 12 week international trip coming up this year, any weight reducing travel ideas are going to come in handy!
johnnmitchell
It most likely has cracks along the length that you can see which means it will fail again and early. Personally I would throw the broken rods away. But do so properly because it is carbon fiber. Usually it should NOT go to normal trash. Check your local regulations concerning disposing of carbon fiber.
kwmf
I also use them as backup beach stakes (after cutting it back from where it broke) Not often I use it, but it happens
Henri
If you can salvage half, you can start building a travel set...
